Heretic 2022 Tundra Studio Fog Light Kit Installation Guide
Tools Needed for Install
Before starting the installation, we recommend that you disconnect the negative battery terminal. Disconnecting the battery prevents any accidental short-circuiting and any fault codes that may show up from unplugging electrical components.
Step 1: Open the vehicle’s hood and remove four 10mm screws and
remove two plastic fasteners holding on the grill.
Step 2: If equipped with the front parking sensor, unplug the harness
located beneath the panel on top of the grille.
Step 3: To remove the grille, carefully pull the bottom corners with
constant force until it unclips. Pull the bumper horizontally away from the
front of the vehicle and keep in mind these clips are a bit tough and take a
moderate amount of strength and patience. Clip mounting points are indicated
with black arrows. Once the grille is removed, please place it in a safe
location. Using a 10mm socket wrench, remove the six nuts holding on the inner
bumper cross brace. Once the mount is removed, please place it in a safe
place.
Step 4: Using a 10mm socket wrench or 10mm wrench, remove the six nuts on
top of the bumper fascia. Next, remove six 10mm nuts from the fascia’s
backside, keeping in mind there are three on the left and three on the right.
Once these nuts are broken loose, they are effortless to turn by hand. Remove
two 10mm nuts on the bottom of the fascia. These nuts can be seen by carefully
pulling the fascia away from the vehicle’s front and looking up from the
bottom. Finally, Release the plastic fasteners holding the fascia onto the
skid plate. The fascia should now come away from the vehicle and be placed in
a safe location.
Step 5: With the fascia removed, locate the six 14mm frame bolts, three
on each side. These bolts will be removed and reinstalled after the light bar
bracket.
While installing the light bar into the brackets, keep the six 14mm bolts slightly loose. Leaving the bolts loose will allow the light bar to line up to the holes on the bracket better and allow for height adjustment. Don’t worry if you make a mistake adjusting the bar. Once the install is completed and the vehicle is put back together, there is enough room to make final adjustments.
Step 6: With the light bar installed, route the wiring, avoiding any hot or moving parts, and use zip ties to keep the wiring in place. Reinstall the removed parts in reverse order, making sure to torque the bolt after driving 100 miles.
Your install is now complete! Thanks for choosing Heretic!
