Important Safety Instructions
Battery Warnings
- This device contains an internal, non-removable, high-quality lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Do not attempt to remove the battery, as you may damage the device.
- The battery can be charged and discharged over 1000 times, before its capacity degrades.
- To obtain optimal charging capacity, we recommend you charge the unit within 50ºF to 86ºF (10ºC to 30ºC).
- Below freezing temperatures can affect the unit’s battery capacity. If the unit is exposed to off-grid sub-zero conditions, we recommend you keep your unit in an insulated cooler and connected to a power source such as solar panels (not included). The natural heat generated by the unit contained in an insulated cooler will keep battery capacity at its highest.
- In order to avoid interference during charging, keep the unit away from TV, radio and other equipment.
- If the unit will not been used for a prolonged period, disconnect the cable and store in a cool, dry place.
- Some portable devices may need to be set in charge mode to charge. Refer to your devices’ documentation for more information.
- To extend the life of the product’s lithium-ion battery, it is best to charge every 3 months and at least once within 6 months.
- Please recycle Tripp Lite Products. The batteries used in this Tripp Lite product are lithium-ion batteries. These batteries are highly recyclable. Refer to your local codes for disposal requirements. You can go the Tripp Lite Website for up-to date information on recycling the batteries: tripplite.com/support/recycling-program/.

Powering Devices
Powering 12V DC Devices
To provide power to 12V DC devices (such as a headlamp, fan, etc.), plug your device into the 5.5 mm 12V DC output or Cigarette Lighter Adapter (CLA). Short-circuit/overpower protection: The DC output rated power is <120W (max output <145W). If the DC output is short circuited or overpowered (load power
120W), the unit will shut down. If this occurs, press the DC switch to resume use.
Notes:
- Before attempting to power your device, confirm whether your DC 12V device supports charging with a 5.5 mm DC header interface (the diameter of the DC port is 5.5 mm). Otherwise, you may be unable to connect with the unit’s DC output and an adapter may be needed. For more information, consult the device manufacturer’s documentation.
- The 12V DC output voltage range is 9V and 12.6V with a maximum output current of 12A. DC output voltage drops while the battery capacity drops due to chemical characteristics of the battery. If your device does not have a built-in input voltage stabilizing function, it may shut down when input voltage is too low. If this occurs, unplug your device and charge the u
Powering AC Devices
WARNING! The AC outlets, AC voltage and frequency are different according to different countries. Please check first whether the product specifications are consistent with the device specifications before use.
Connect the power cable plug of the electrical device to the AC outlet, then switch on the POWER AC button. The unit will start providing power to your devices. Short-circuit/overload protection: During an AC output short-circuit or overload (>600W), the AC output function will stop. If this occurs, remove the load and press the AC button to reactive the unit. For some electrical appliances, such as refrigerators, ice machines, laser printers, etc., there will be a short peak power (up to 1000W or above) upon starting up. This may activate the overload protection feature. If this occurs, remove the device and press the AC button to reactive the unit. Short-circuit/overpower protection: The DC output rated power is <120W (max output <145W). If the DC output is short circuited or overpowered (load power >120W), the unit will shut down. If this occurs, press the AC button to reactive the unit.
Note: Turn off the AC switch to save energy if the AC output function is not needed.
Powering Devices
Powering USB Devices
Connect the digital device to the USB interface of the power pack and press
the USB button to power the device.
Note: For some smart devices, such as a Bluetooth headset or LED light, the
charge current is very low (<150mA). This is too low to be detected by the
power pack and these smart devices are not able to receive power from the
power pack. Quick charge 3.0: The power pack supports Quick Charge 3.0 output
technology with 5V-9V 2A maximum output. Quick charge 3.0 is compatible with
smartphones and tablets that use Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. For
exact charging voltage and current, consult the device manufacturer’s
documentation.
Note: When the product is in overloaded or short-circuit protection is
activated, remove the load and USB auto activation.
Charging the Power Pack Unit
Charging from an AC Outlet
Using the included AC power adapter, plug the unit into any wall outlet to
charge the unit. The blue LED battery indicators will blink when the unit is
charging. When the unit is fully charged, all battery indicators will stop
blinking and remain solid. After the unit is fully charged, unplg the AC power
adapter from the wall outlet.
Charging from a Solar Panel (Optional, Not Included)
With a user-supplied solar panel, place the solar panel where it will receive
as much direct sunlight as possible, then plug the output of the solar panel
into the input of the unit to start charging. The blue LED battery indicators
will blink when the unit is charging. When the unit is fully charged, all
battery indicators will stop blinking and remain s
Charging from a 12V CLA Cigarette Lighter
Using the included CLA car charger adapter, plug the unit into a 12V cigarette
lighter in your vehicle. The blue LED battery indicators will blink when the
unit is charging. When the unit is fully charged, all battery indicators will
stop blinking and remain solid.
Attention: To avoid car battery power loss, charging this unit through a
car cigarette lighter is only available when your vehicle’s engine is running.
