cecotec 600 Corded Broom Vacuum Cleaner
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before using the appliance, read the following instructions carefully. Keep
this instruction manual for future reference or new users.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.
- This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farm houses, hotels, motels, and offices.
- Inspect the power cord regularly for visible damage, especially the cord, plug, and plug casing. Should the cord be damaged or the product not work properly, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec to avoid any type of danger.
- Do not try to repair the device by yourself. Contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec for advice.
- Turn off and unplug the appliance from the mains supply when it is not going to be used for a long period of time, before cleaning or repairing, before attaching components, and before removing the battery.
- WARNING: this device has rotating parts which may pose a risk of entrapment. Exercise extreme caution.
- Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the device and that the wall outlet is grounded.
- Do not use the device if it has been dropped or if there are any visible signs of damage.
- Do not use any accessory that has not been recommended by Cecotec, as they might cause injuries or damage.
- Do not place the appliance close to heat sources, flammable substances, or wet surfaces where it could fall, nor allow it to come into contact with water or other liquids. Do not use outdoors.
- Do not use the appliance to vacuum liquids, lighted matches, cigarette ends, hot ash, or on wet surfaces.
- Stop using the device if you sense an abnormal sound or a temperature higher than usual.
- Keep the air outlet unblocked to avoid losing suction power.
- Check the vacuuming tube from time to time to make sure it is not blocked.
- Take special care when using the device near stairs.
- Do not block the appliance openings or air flow. Keep openings free of any objects, and do not block them with clothes or your fingers.
- Do not pull on the plug to disconnect the appliance.
- Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any other part of the appliance in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.

BEFORE USE
- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent product damage when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If any of them are missing or not in good condition, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Service immediately.

Assembling the vacuuming tube and the motorised brush
- To install the motorised brush into the vacuuming tube, align both making sure the tab on the motorised brush matches the guides on the tube, and introduce one into the other until they are firmly fixed.
- To disassemble them, press the motorised-brush release button, and pull from the vacuuming tube while you hold the vacuuming brush head.
Installing the tube, motorised brush, and main body
- To complete the installation of the upright vacuum cleaner, hold the vacuuming tube in an upright position and insert it into the main body.
- To remove the vacuuming tube, press the vacuuming-tube release button and pull the vacuuming tube while firmly holding the main body . Fig. 3
OPERATION
You can use this vacuum cleaner in two different manners:
- Handheld vacuum cleaner, attaching the accessories directly to the main body.
- Upright vacuum cleaner, using the vacuuming tube with the accessories assembled.
Using the vacuum cleaner
- Plug in the vacuum cleaner.
- Turn on the vacuum cleaner by pressing the power button.
- Move it back and forth for cleaning.
Warning:
- The motorised brush operates at a very high speed to prevent damage to the cleaning surface. Do not stay on the same spot for longer than necessary.
If the brush gets blocked during operation, the brush stops spinning automatically to prevent tangles and possible damage. Turn off the vacuum cleaner; release and clean the brush. Do not use the vacuum cleaner until it has cooled down.
2-in-1 narrow accessory for corners and furniture
- This accessory is preferably used with the handheld vacuum cleaner and allows cleaning furniture without damaging it and reaching harder-to-reach dirt in corners. You can also use this accessory with the vacuuming tube. Fig. 4
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Turn the appliance off, unplug it from the power socket, and allow it to cool down before cleaning it.
- Use a soft, slightly dampened cloth to clean the device’s surface.
- Never immerse the device in water or other liquids, nor allow liquids to enter the device.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the product.
- Do not leave the device in a place with direct sunlight.
- Do not leave the device in a wet place after cleaning it.
- After the brush has been used for a long time, bristles might start to tangle with hair and other particles. Clean it for it to operate correctly again.
Filters and tank cleaning

To avoid the appliance from overheating and losing suction power, it is suggested to clean the filters frequently. To make the most of the suction power, it is suggested to clean the filter after every use.

The filers’ shelf life will depend on usage frequency and the type of particles which are frequently vacuumed. It is recommended to replace the filters approximately every 6 months.

Turn the vacuum cleaner off and unplug it from the power supply.

Press the dust-tank release button as shown in Figure 5.

Gently remove the dust tank from the main body and empty the dirt into a waste bin. Fig. 6

Remove the filtering system and separate its parts for cleaning. Fig. 7

After cleaning, replace the filtering system and put the dirt tank back into place. Fig. 8

Vacuum and shake the filters to remove every particle and dust remain that may block them and difficult the correct air circulation. Remember not to use the vacuum cleaner without the filters properly assembled.

Filters cannot be washed inside a washing machine or dried with a hair dryer.

Do not brush the high-efficiency filter.

This vacuum cleaner has a protection feature that can cut off the power supply
to the motorised brush and stop its operation when the air duct and/or the
brush get blocked. Switch off the vacuum cleaner and unblock the brush or air
duct immediately.
Once unblocked, do not use the product until it cools down.

Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the mains and press the motorised-brush release button to remove it.

Turn the knob on the bottom of the motorised brush with a coin to put it in the unlocked position, as shown in Figure 9.

Open the latch
-
Lift the brush from the left-hand side and remove it.

Remove whatever was blocking the suction, being careful not to damage the brush.

Align and refit the brush.

Turn the knob at the bottom with a coin to put it in the locked position.
