HONDA GL1800-D-DA LED Trunk Light
Product Information
The LED Trunk Light is an accessory designed for Honda GL1800/D/DA and GL1800B/BD models. It is a trunk inner lamp that provides additional lighting inside the trunk. The product comes with all the necessary parts listed below:
- (1) Trunk inner lamp
- (2) Cushion
- (3) 5 mm screw (Qty 2)
- (4) Washer (Qty 2)
- (5) Collar (Qty 2)
- (6) Installation Instructions URL
The product requires additional tools and supplies for installation, including a Phillips screwdriver, snips, ruler, file, scissors, isopropyl alcohol, shop towel, and torque wrench.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before proceeding with the installation, please refer to the Installation Instructions of the accessory.
- Perform steps 1 to 18 on the trunk sub harness (sold separately) installation instructions.
- Clean the surface of the area where the trunk inner lamp will be installed using isopropyl alcohol.
- Install the trunk inner lamp as shown, using the provided 5 mm screws, washers, and collars.
- Connect the trunk inner lamp harness to the trunk sub harness using the 2-pin connector (Blue). Store the connector in the harness boot after connecting.
- Cut the cushion to the dimensions shown.
- Perform steps 19 to 22 on the trunk sub harness (sold separately) installation instructions.
- Attach the cushions to the trunk inner lamp harness and inner trunk lid as shown.
- Install the inner trunk lid to the trunk lid, making sure not to damage any parts.
- Install the striker rods as shown, using the provided screws.
- Perform steps 23 to 29 on the trunk sub harness (sold separately) installation instructions.
Please note that all screws, bolts, and nuts should be tightened to their specified torque values. Refer to the Service Manual for the torque values of the removed parts.
Honda Dealer: Please give a copy of these instructions to your customer.

TORQUE CHART
Tighten all screws, bolts, and nuts to their specified torque values. Refer to the Service Manual for the torque values of the removed parts.

INSTALLATION
NOTE:
- Heat the bonding surfaces with a hair dryer if the ambient air temperature is below 70°F (21°C).
- The adhesive reaches full strength in 72 hours. Wait at least 24 hours before riding your motorcycle.
- Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery before installing this accessory.
- The clock memory will be erased when you disconnect the battery. Reset after reconnecting the battery.
- Reinstall the removed parts on the motorcycle and make sure that the wires and harnesses are not pinched.

Perform step 1 to 18 on the trunk sub harness (sold separately) installation instructions.

Cut out the parts of inner trunk lid as shown.
After cutting, remove any burrs. -
Install the trunk inner lamp as shown.
- Perform step 19 to 22 on the trunk sub harness (sold separately) installation instructions.
- Clean the surface of the area shown using isopropyl alcohol.
- Connect the trunk inner lamp harness as shown.

Cut the cushion to the dimensions shown.

Attach the cushions as shown.
- Install the inner trunk lid to the trunk lid as shown.
- Install the striker rods as shown.
- Perform step 23 to 29 on the trunk sub harness (sold separately) installation instructions.
