Residual risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in accordance with instructions, certain residual risks cannot be rules out. The following hazards may arise in connection with the equipment’s construction and layout:

  1. Lung damage if no suitable protective dust mask is used.
  2. Damage to hearing if no suitable ear protection is used.
  3. Health damage caused by hand-arm vibrations if the equipment is used over a prolonged period or is not properly guided and maintained.

Before putting into operation

Caution!
Protect your battery pack against moisture, rain and high humidity. Make sure that no water runs over the battery pack or its contacts during operation.
Use the PXC battery protector (16) supplied with the tool. First insert the battery in your PXC tool (Fig. 10). As you do so, make sure that the contacts on the tool and on the battery are dry. Now pull the PXC battery protector (16) over the battery (Fig. 11). Make sure that PXC battery protector is not damaged, is correctly seated and seals off every contact surface from the tool. Always remove the PXC battery protector before you take the battery out of the tool.
Warning!
Always pull out the battery before making any settings on the equipment.
5.1 Using the equipment correctly

  • The tool must be stood on a level, stable surface.
  • It is recommended that you adopt the correct operating position every time you use the equipment, i.e. one hand on the gun and the other hand on the lance.
  • Never direct the water jet at electric cables or at the equipment itself.
  • So that the pump does not suffer any damage when it is not in use, a small amount of leakage from the pump is normal.
  • Never use the machine in potentially explosive areas under any circumstances!
  • The operating temperature must be between +5 and + 40°C.
  • Do not cover or modify the lance or the spray nozzles in any way.
  • The tool is designed to be used with cold or lukewarm water (max. 40°C); higher temperatures will result in damage to the pump.
  • Do not use water that is dirty, gritty or contains any chemical products, as these could impair operation and shorten the life of the equipment.

Warning – Risk of explosion
Do not spray fl ammable liquids.
Warning
Water that has passed through the non-return valve is not drinkable.
Warning
If cleaning agent gets into contact with your skin or into your eye, rinse immediately with lots of clean water. Then consult a doctor or follow the steps described on the safety data sheet or provided by the manufacturer of the cleaning agent.
5.2 Assembly
5.2.1 Fitting the extensions/nozzles (Fig. 2)
Various attachments can be fi tted to the gun. First fi t the extensions (6) to the connector (13). Then you can press the attachments into the extension (you will encounter a slight spring resistance) and secure by turning.
Important! Check that the attachment is secure before you begin with the cleaning.
Nozzle attachment (8)
By turning the nozzle (8) you can change the shape of the water jet from a solid cone to a narrow fl at fan, a wide fl at fan or rotation (Fig. 4). Foam nozzle (7) Open the foam nozzle (Fig. 6) by turning it, then fi ll in foam cleaner. You can control the quantity of foam by turning the foam adjuster (12).
5.2.2 Water inlet connector (Fig. 3)
The connection for the water inlet (5) is equipped with a connector for standard hose coupling systems. Plug the supply hose coupling (min. Ø 1/2“ / approx. 13 mm) onto the water inlet connector (15), or use the supplied suction hose to use water from a container. In this case always make use of the suction hose fi lter (10).
A backfl ow stop must be installed between the drinking water and the tool! Ask your local plumber about this.
5.3 Charging the Li battery pack (Fig. 7-8)

  1. Remove the battery pack (a) from the handle, pressing the pushlock button (b) downwards as you do so.
  2. Check that your mains voltage is the same as that marked on the rating plate of the battery charger. Insert the power plug of the charger (c) into the socket outlet. The green LED will then begin to blink.
  3. Push the battery (a) onto the charger (c).
  4. In the section entitled „Charger indicator“ you will fi nd a table with explanations of the LED display on the charger.

Caution!
To prevent the battery from overheating, only ever charge it without the PXC battery cover fi tted.
The battery can become a little warm during the charging. This is normal.
If the battery pack fails to charge, check:
• whether there is voltage at the socket outlet
• whether there is good contact at the charging contacts
If the battery pack still fails to charge, send
• the charging unit
• and the battery pack to our customer service center.
To ensure that items are properly packaged and delivered when you send them to us, please contact our customer service or the point of sale at which the equipment was purchased.
When shipping or disposing of batteries and cordless tools, always ensure that they are packed individually in plastic bags to prevent short circuits and fi res.
To ensure that the battery pack provides long service, you should take care to recharge it promptly.
You must recharge the battery pack when you notice that the performance of the device drops.
Never allow the battery pack to become fully discharged.
This will cause it to develop a defect.
5.4 Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 7/d)
Press the button for the battery capacity indicator (e). The battery capacity indicator (d) shows the charge status of the battery using 3 LEDs.
All 3 LEDs are lit:
The battery is fully charged.
2 or 1 LED(s) are lit:
The battery has an adequate remaining charge.
1 LED fl ashes:
The battery is empty, recharge the battery.
All LEDs blink:
The battery temperature is too low. Remove the battery from the equipment, keep it at room temperature for one day. If the fault reoccurs, this means that the rechargeable battery has undergone exhaustive discharge and is defective. Remove the battery from the equipment. Never use or charge a defective battery.

Operation

6.1 Using for the fi rst time
Once you have completely assembled the tool and made all the connections, you can proceed as follows:
Open the water inlet. Press the safety device (1) (Fig. 1) on the spray gun to release it, then press the handle (3) (Fig. 1) to release any air from inside the equipment.
Now activate the trigger lever (2).
To switch off , release the trigger lever (2). The equipment will then go into standby. As soon as you press the trigger lever again, the pressure cleaner will restart. You can choose between 2 pressure levels by pressing on Eco (4) (Fig.1).

Cleaning the equipment, maintenance and ordering spare parts

Danger!
Pull out the battery before starting any cleaning work on the equipment.
7.1 Cleaning the equipment

  • Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow over it with compressed air at low pressure.
  • We recommend cleaning the equipment immediately each time after use.
  • Clean the equipment regularly with a damp cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these might be aggressive to the plastic parts in the equipment. Ensure that no water can get into the interior of the equipment. The ingress of water into an electric power tool increases the risk of an electric shock.

7.2 Maintenance
7.2.1 Testing the intake hose fi lter
Periodically check the intake fi lter in order to prevent clogging that could jeopardize the pump’s operation.
Unscrew the water inlet connector (15) from the intake hose fi lter (10) and clean the exposed inlet sieve under running water.
7.2.2 Prolonged non-use of the electric pump
The equipment should be completely emptied of water each time after it is used. This requires you to switch on the equipment without a connected water supply and to press the trigger lever (2) (max. 1 min.) until no more water emerges. Then you must switch off the equipment.
If the equipment is not used for a prolonged period of time, lime deposits will begin to form in the electric pump, which in turn can lead to starting diffi culties.
7.2.3 Cleaning the nozzle (Fig. 4)
Use e.g. a safety pin to clean a clogged nozzle.
7.3 Ordering replacement parts:
Please quote the following data when ordering replacement parts:

  • Type of machine
  • Article number of the machine
  • Identification number of the machine
  • Replacement part number of the part required
