Installation

Wiring CP series panels

  1. Provide 120, 208, 240, 277 VAC circuits to the panel dcontactor(s) Line1 and Line2 terminals as required by the d rating of the ProMelt snow melting mats/cables connected tothis circuit.
  2. Provide 120 VAC for the ProMelt Smart Controller.
  3. Make wire connection between the Load1 and Load2 terminals and the ProMelt mats/cables. More than one mat/cable intended to be connected to the same contactor should first be connected together in parallel at a junction box.  Then run lead wires to the terminals.

Wiring ProMelt Smart Panel to the PMSub-200 extension panel
A PMSub-200 panel can be used in conjunction with another panel to serve as an “extension panel”. This subpanel then turns on at the same time as the main panel. Up to four subpanels can be added. Follow the steps below for proper installation:

  1. Wire the PMSub-200 extension panel in the same manner as the main panel (see steps 1 and 3 above).
  2. Use 18 AWG wire to connect “Melt 120V” and “N” between panels.
