SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before first use, please thoroughly read the entire manual. It is recommended to keep this instructions manual for future reference.

  1. Set the appliance on a flat, stable and high temperature resistant surface.
  2. Always disconnect the appliance from the mains by pulling the plug, not the power cord.
  3. Disconnect the appliance from the mains whenever it is not used or before cleaning it.
  4. Do not immerse the cord or the appliance in water.
  5. Do not hang the cord on sharp edges and do not let it touch hot surfaces.
  6. Do not use in open air.
  7. Do not use nearby inflammable materials such as furniture, bedding, paper, clothes, lace curtains, linings etc.
  8. Do not leave children without care nearby the appliance parts of the appliance become hot when the appliance.
  9. Is being used, you should hold the appliance only by the handgrip.
  10. Be careful when removing products. Finished products are hot and may burn.
  11. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is being used,
  12. The device can be used by children aged 8 and older and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or persons without sufficient experience and knowledge only under supervision or if previously instructed on the safe use of the appliance and the possible risks. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance that are the responsibility of the user shall not be carried out by children without supervision. Protect the appliance and the power cord against children under 8 years old. Pay attention to make sure that the appliance is not played with by children.

This symbol is a warning against the high temperature of the appliance surface.

WARNINGS
− The appliance operates at high temperatures. Do not touch the hot surfaces of the fryer (basket (6), the inside of the appliance and the vents (9)) as this may cause burns.
− Do not fill up the basket (6) oil, drying fat or any other liquid.
− In the basket (6) do not place more products than stated in Table 1, as it may affect the quality of the meal.
− Do not cover the intake and outflow air openings.
− Ensure sufficient space around the appliance – at least 10cm.

INTENDED USE

Air fryer FR40 allows to prepare meals in a very comfortable way, and, first of all, in a healthy way. Hot air circulating in the appliance makes preparation of various means a quick and easy task, as the ingredients are heated from all sides at the same time. In case of majority of meals, adding oil is not needed.

SETTING UP THE APPLIANCE

− Make sure that the appliance, the plug and the power cord are in order and that all parts of the packaging have been removed before you start using the appliance.
Important : The appliance may give off a smell while being used for the first time. The smell is associated with the manufacturing procedure. It is a natural process which ceases to occur after a certain period of time. Ensure a suitable ventilation in the room, e.g. by opening a window. The first use of the appliance should be without products.

USE

Before using the appliance for the first time, please:
− Read the operating instructions.
− Place the appliance on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.
− Make sure it is unplugged and the knobs (1, 3) are turned to the maximum left – the appliance is switched off.
− Place the basket (6) on a heat-resistant surface.
− Insert the rack (4) into the basket (6).
CAUTION: Do not use the basket (6) without the rack (4) inserted.
− Put the prepared products into the basket (6). You can pour 1 teaspoon of oil on the products – optional.
− Do not put more products in the basket than the amount shown in TABLE 1.
Do not fill the basket above the “MAX” level.
Products must not protrude beyond the edge of the basket. The basket (6) should slide freely into the body (10). Please note that some products increase in volume during baking.
− Slide the basket (6) into the body (10).
− Connect the appliance to a power supply conforming to the parameters specified in the manual.
− Set the temperature using the knob (1). You can set the temperature from 80°C to 200°C.
− Set the operating time with the knob (3). You can set the operating time from 1 to 60 min. To start the timer, turn the knob (3) to the right.
− To switch off the appliance before the set time has elapsed, turn the knob (3) to the right.
NOTE. The temperature and time must be set for the appliance to start.
− During operation, the indicator lamp (2) lights up and goes out. The thermostat maintains the correct temperature.
− When operation is complete, pull out the basket (6) by holding the handle (5). When pulling out the basket (6), a very hot stream of steam may escape.
− Place the basket (6) on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.
− Remove hot products. To avoid damaging the inner surface of the basket (6), use wooden or heat-resistant plastic cutlery.
NOTE: The appliance will not operate without the basket (6) properly inserted.
− Pulling out the basket (6) while the appliance is running will switch off the appliance.
− Do not touch the basket or the inside of the appliance as they are very hot.
− Unplug the appliance from the mains after use.

TIPS

Chips
When frying fresh potatoes, first rinse and dry them thoroughly to remove excess moisture and starch. Halfway through the frying cycle, shake the basket (6) and/or stir the smaller ingredients to and ensure even frying.
Cakes
Ready-made cakes prepared from a ready mix require a shorter baking time than homemade cakes. Pour the batter into a separate tin(s) rather than directly into the basket (6).
Meat
When frying large pieces of meat with excess fat and oil accumulating on the bottom of the basket (6), use heatresistant nylon or silicone tongs to remove the products. Avoid tipping the basket (6) over, as this will cause fat and residual oil to leak onto the plate or countertop.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

NOTE No parts of the appliance are dishwasher safe.
− Before cleaning, switch the appliance off – turn the knobs (1, 3) to the left as far as possible, then unplug the appliance from the power supply and wait for it to cool down.
NOTE. The appliance needs approximately 30 minutes to fully cool down.
− Do not use sharp or pointed objects to clean the appliance, as this can damage functional parts or compromise the safety of the appliance.
− Wash the basket (6) and the grate (4) with warm water and liquid. It is best to wash them immediately after use. After rinsing with clean water, dry them immediately.
− After rinsing with clean water, dry them immediately.
− Never immerse the body (10) in water or rinse under running water. The body (10) and the heating chamber with a damp cloth.

TROUBLESHOOTING

In case of any problems with the appliance, check the following table:

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

− The appliance is made of materials which can be recycled.
− It should be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.

WARRANTY

− This appliance is designed for domestic use only.
− It cannot be used for professional purposes or for other than the intended use.
− Improper use will nullify the guarantee.
