Installation
Remove the body and install the control unit to the chassis, next to the
receiver box.
Insert the long end of a Y-Adapter (B) into the CH2 slot of the control unit.
Be sure to line up the Black/Brown wire with the (-) symbol. See “Control Unit
Overview”. Plug the ESC’s receiver wire into the female plug of the Y-Adapter
(B). Plug the remaining plug on the Y-Adapter (B) into CH.2 of the vehicle’s
receiver. See “Wiring Diagram” section.
Plug wire harness NO.1 into Socket 1 of the control unit. This harness will be
fastened to the body. Using the LED clips and M2.5×4 screws, that were
included with your COE kit, fasten the two 5mm clear bulbs into the headlight
buckets and the two 3mm amber bulbs into the front marker light buckets. Refer
to “LED Placement” for bulb placement.
Plug wire harness NO.2 into Socket 2 of the control unit. This harness will be
fastened to the underside of the bed. Using the LED clips and M2x6 screws,
that were included with your COE kit, fasten the bulbs into the appropriate
light buckets. Refer to the “LED
Placement” section for bulb placement. The unused wire harness connector plug
will be used to power the optional trailer LED light kit.
Using the included wire ties and wire clips, fasten the wires neatly to the
chassis and/or body to keep the wires from harms way. Be sure to arrange wires
in a way that they won’t interfere the ramp storage compartment located at the
rear of the vehicle.
The optional Custom Trailer Light Kit (RER23174) plugs directly into the rear
of the COE Light Kit’s main wire harness.
