Installing the COE Hauler Flatbed Conversion Kit

This kit allows the customization of the Redcat COE Custom Hauler by replacing the factory-sloped bed with a level flatbed. Follow the steps below for installation. This kit includes key components for the flatbed transformation and allows the reuse of the actual bed itself.

NOTE: The Flatbed conversion kit is not compatible with the Layframe suspension servo kit.

NOTE: The COE shown in these following steps is shown with the optional LED light kit installed, sold seperately.

NOTE: Before starting, remove the 4 body clips and lift the cab straight up and off of the chassis. Put the cab in a safe place.

1. Remove 16 screws on the underside of the bed.

2. Remove 16 screws on the top of the bed.

3. Remove 2 screws on each side of the bed panels.

4. Remove the 2 screws that hold the exhaust clamps on. One screw per clamp. Remove the on/off switch and then remove the bed.

5. Remove 5 screws from each side of the bed. Now would be a good time to remove the 4 marker lights on each side of the bed too.

6. Remove the lexan headache rack cover and then both side panels from the bed.

7. Remove the 4 screws on the underside of the bed and remove the headache rack, then use the same 4 screws to install the new (taller) headace rack.

8. Install both of the new lexan side panels.
   Use the same screws from step 5.

9. Install the new rear braces as shown.
   Use the same screws from step 1

10. Swap out the center brace with the new one. It is held in place with 4 screws.

11. Install the new (shorter) front supports onto the chassis using the same 8 screws from step 1.

12. Place the flatbed onto the chassis and insert the same 16 screws, from step 2, into the top of the bed and tighten.

13. Install 2 screws into each side of the bed. Use the same screws from step 3.

14. Install the headache rack cover using the same 2 screws per side from step 5

15. Reinstall the on/off switch and exhaust stack clamps using the same screws from step 4.

16. Reinstall the body and you’re finished.
