The animals take off their coats with grumbling tummies, then head to the cafeteria for something yummy.
Ostrich opens his lunchbox and finds CRICKETS, WORMS, and GRAPES to munch!
And what about Monkey? Today, she’s having BANANAS, NUTS, and SPIDERS for lunch
- Ostrich sighs and says, “Monkey, I’m tired of my lunch. Could I have some of yours?”
- Monkey replies, “Yes, of course. After all, we’re OMNIVORES
That means we eat both MEAT and PLANTS—yummy yum yum!”
Elephant licks her lips—she has LEAVES, BRANCHES, and an APPLE to eat!
Zebra’s hungry! What will they eat? Today, it’ll be TWIGS, GRASS, and LEAVES!
Elephant exclaims, “I love twigs! Could I have a few?”
With a smile, Zebra says, “Absolutely, HERBIVORE pal! Eating plants is what we
do!”
Lion’s feasting on RIBS and DRUMSTICKS this afternoon,
while Crocodile has a CRAB, FISH, and FROG to snap and chew.
Crocodile shouts, “Lion, I’m a CARNIVORE too!
May I have a bite of your lunch, or maybe a few?”
Lion roars, “Sure, Crocodile, try all these types of delicious meat!”
After eating lunch, the animals are full of energy! Lion says, “Before class
starts, let’s play a game of frisbee!”
With their coats on, the animals head outside to play and move their bodies
before the rest of the school day!
