HOW ESPRESSO MACHINES WORK

Empty the drip tray and take out the water container and then fill the water container to the level of which the machine tells you and input one of the descaling tablets and let the machine do the rest. If the machine tells you to either empty the drip tray again or put some container underneath, do so.

- Follow the directions that are shown on the screen.
- When the display says “Place a cleaning tablet into the ground coffee funnel and seal it.”

The 6360 does, not sure about the 6160.
Can this be direct hard plumbed?
No it cannot.
Water line plumbing? Is the water tank part of the exterior shell so it can be modified to accept a water line?
Probably not. Unless you’re psychic or have some intelligent float system to control the water level based on mode it is a bad idea. The cleaning cycles require very specific amounts of water that the water container has indicators for that you can’t really see unless the unit is sitting on and open counter.
Can the miele 6160 be paired with Alexa?
Yes, you can pair the Miele 6160 with Alexa. You will have to download the Miele skill at the Alexa skill store and it works well. Still need to place a mug though.
Can this machine be turned on if plugged into a smart plug? Or is it a physical button which wouldn’t be compatible with such a setup?
I do not believe this is compatible for the smart plug. However, you can control the power via the Miele app for your machine.
Does the CM6360 have a clock? I would like to set the time for the machine to turn on so it warms the cups in the morning
No, it does not have a clock. You cannot program it to go on at a certain time.

Does the product description say it this model is 220 volts, really? Is that an error? Does it have a converter?
No, my model is 110 volts and the machine does not have a converter. Must be an error.
What are the size dimensions?

Does the cm 6160 milkperfection come with a milk container?
The 6160 does not come with a milk container. However, it comes with all the rest of the equipment though including the milk siphon, etc., and you can use the ‘straw’ it comes with in a milk carton or a glass.
Can you control the temperature at all?
Yes. This machine has the water temperature programmable option.
Can I froth almond milk through the frothing tube?
Yes – no difference from “cows” milk.
