Product Information

The Lund GenesisTM and Genesis EliteTM Soft Rolling Truck Cover is a truck bed cover designed to provide protection and security for your truck bed. It is made from vinyl material that is durable and weather-resistant. The cover can be easily rolled up for convenient access to the truck bed.

Owner/User Responsibilities:

  • Read the owner’s manual and comply with the operating procedures.
  • Inspect the cover regularly for any signs of wear or damage.
  • Have parts repaired or replaced when necessary.
  • Follow safety instructions and warning labels to prevent personal injury.

Cover Maintenance:
The vinyl cover can be hand washed with mild soap and water or cleaned in a car wash. After washing, thoroughly rinse the cover to remove any soap residue. You can also treat the cover with any vinyl protectant made for truck bed covers.

Warranty Information:
This product is covered by a warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. The warranty lasts as long as the original retail purchaser owns the vehicle on which the cover is installed. It does not apply if the product is removed from the original vehicle or transferred to another owner. During the warranty period, Lund will repair or replace any defective product at no additional charge, but labor charges for removal and reinstallation are not covered. The warranty does not cover damage or malfunction caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, improper installation, modification, inadequate maintenance, or on-road and off-road hazards. Incidental and consequential damages are also not covered.

Obtaining Service:
If you have a defective product within the warranty period, you can return it to the place of purchase or contact Lund Customer Relations directly at 1-800-328-2438 for further assistance. Proof of purchase is required for warranty returns, and returns made to Lund must have prior authorization.

OWNER/USER RESPONSIBILITIES

It is the responsibility of the owner/user to read this manual and comply with the operating procedures. The owner/user is also responsible for inspecting the cover, and for having parts repaired or replaced when worn or damaged. Failure to follow safety instructions and warning labels could result in failure of your cover system and/or personal injury.

MESSAGES TO INSTALLER

  • Always wear safety glasses and/or other necessary protective equipment when installing your truck bed cover.
  • These instructions are complete for most pickup models. Additional instructions are included, if required for your truck.
  • Please read entire manual before installing your truck bed cover.

COVER MAINTENANCE
Vinyl cover can be hand washed with mild soap and water or cleaned in a car wash. Thoroughly rinse cover to remove any soap residue. Cover can be treated with any vinyl protectant made for truck bed covers. Never use any vinyl conditioners (ie, Armor All®) that contain silicone, petroleum, or citrus based products on your truck bed cover as they may crack and shrink the vinyl.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

  • What is covered: All defects in materials or workmanship on select LUND branded products properly installed per provided instructions except those listed below under the One and Three Year Warranties. This warranty does not apply to any product from LUND direct or indirect subsidiaries.
  • For How Long: This warranty, and any implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last as long as the original retail purchases owns the vehicle on which the product is installed. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.
  • What LUND Will Do: During the applicable warranty period listed above, LUND will, at its option, either repair or replace any defective product at no ad-ditional charge. You must pay any labor charges associated with removing or reinstalling the product. If a specific product has been discontinued, LUND may, at its option, replace your product with a current product of comparable function and value.
  • What These Warranties Will Not Cover: These warranties doe not cover any damage, defect, or malfunction caused by misuse, abuse, accident, improper installation, modification, improper or inadequate maintenance, or on-road and off-road hazards. Incidental and consequential damages are not recoverable under this warranty. Some states or providence do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.
  • How To Get Service: A defective product may, during the warranty period listed above, be returned to the place of purchase. Alternatively, you may contact LUND Customer Relations directly at 1-800-328-2438 to obtain information on how to obtain service. Proof of purchase must accompany all warranty returns. Returns made to LUND will not be accepted without prior authorization from LUND.
  • How Does State Law Apply? This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which may vary from state to state or province to province. This warranty statement supersedes all previous warranty statements in any LUND catalogs or other marketing materials.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Do not place objects on or against cover or framework.
  2. Do not tie cargo to truck bed cover framework.
  3. Never allow children or pets to occupy pickup box while cover is closed.
  4. Cover is not airtight. Special care is required to keep cargo clean and dry.
  5. Fabric cover won’t prevent theft of contents inside truck box.
  6. Cover must be rolled fully open and secured with retainer straps when towing vehicle backwards.
  7. DO NOT stow rolled cover against cab window.
  8. Cover must be rolled fully open and secured with retainer straps if any part of the truck bed cover is worn or damaged.

NOTE: Clamp configurations shown above are for reference only, and are not intended to be standard for all trucks.

Repeat steps 2-4 on passenger side for item C. Proceed to step 6 when complete.

COVER TENSION ADJUSTMENT

  • Cover tension must be adjusted manually.
  • Check cover tension after installation, seasonally, and after extreme temperature changes.
  • For best performance, adjust tension regularly to protect your cover against wind wear.

Set tension during warmest part of day. With cover closed, release hook and loop fasteners from both side rails near cab. Roll cover open and rotate tension controls to adjust. Close cover and recheck. Repeat until satisfactory tension is achieved.LUND-960116-Genesis-Textured-Vinyl-Roll-Up-Tonneau-

TROUBLESHOOTING

HEADER WILL NOT LATCH:
Check side rails to make sure they are level. See Step 4, INSTALLATION. Make sure the rear header seal is not caught between side rail & rear header. Check position of side rails on pickup box, they may be positioned too low. See Step 3 INSTALLATION. Make sure cover has proper tension. See Step 14.
FABRIC COVER IS TOO TIGHT OR TOO LOOSE: See Step 11 and 14
