Product Usage Instructions
- Begin by placing the vehicle on a lift or four jack stands at maximum height. This will aid in an easier installation.
- This axle-back system does not require complete removal of the factory system, but may make the installation easier for some customers.
- Begin by removing the factory tips by loosening the clamps that retain them. Note that the clamp is welded to the pipe and not the tips, so removal is possible.
- Next, cut the factory tailpipes on the tangent line of the last bend leading to the active exhaust valves, as per the included diagrams. Additional trimming may be required to achieve the desired fit.
- Install and align the tips using the HCV26U clamps in the valance openings and tighten all clamps. The use of air tools is recommended for this step.
- Now it’s time to install SMC31MS. Slide the HVC26 band clamps over the slotted portion of SMC31MS.
- Next, slide the wire forms into the factory rubber mount hangers.
- Finish by sliding the expanded portion over the factory piping. Be sure to file or grind off any metal burrs.
- Install and align the tips and tighten all clamps.
