These installation instructions apply to the following CBI Off Road products

IMPORTANT INFO

If your CBI product comes as unpainted, bare steel or aluminum. You will want to either powder coat or paint prior to final installation, however it is very important to PRE-INSTALL the unpainted product first, following these instructions, BEFORE painting or powder coating any of the components! This will ensure that all parts are correct and any incidental trimming or drilling will have been done prior to coating. Also, it will give you a practice run to familiarize yourself with the process, to lessen the likelihood of damaging the finish during final installation.
CBI Off Road is NOT RESPONSIBLE for paint or powder coating costs, damage to paint or powder coating, or costs associated with inadvertently painting or powder coating components that are defective or were shipped or assembled in error. It is the customer’s responsibility to pre-install and verify that all parts are correct prior to paint or powder coat.

  • Remove Grill
  • Unplug light harness pop out harness keeper -Photo A

  • Pop out keepers on the top of bumper where the grill was -Photo B

  • Undo bolts and keepers on inner fender wells -Photo C

  • Remove all lOmm bolts under the bumper -Photos D & E

  • Pull the inner fender wells out of the way so you can get your hand inside the fender to release the clips on the flares
  • Remove tow hook and ears on the cross-member -Photos F &G

  • Remove plastic impact bumper -Photo H

  • Remove aluminum bumper, same 14mm nuts for new bumper install – Photo I

  • Remove bolts on power steering cooler save mounting bolts – Photos J &K

  • Reach in the inner fender and take the bolt out holding the power steering lines -Photo L

  • Mount the re-location brackets as shown in photos (%” bolts under the A/C condenser factory bolts in factory location) -Photos M&N

  • Remove front skid plate
  • Remove air dams -Photo 0

  • Cut air dams off where shown -Photos Q&R

  • Mask off flares – Photos S, T & U

  • Cut flare off at bottom of tape, the flare may end up a little long. You can trim it to match the bumper once it has been reinstalled.
  • Remove lighting harness from bumper and fog lights -Photo V

  • Remove center grill portion of bumper -Photo W

  • Mask the face of the bumper as shown in photos starting at the fog lights, line up the tape with the edge of the opening holding a straight line around the corner and a 1/4″ above the point on the bumper at the fender well -Photos X & Y

  • Cut off the bottom of the bumper at your masking line .
  • Reinstall top half of bumper, this is what you should end up with. Flares should be about 1/4″ higher than bumper. -Photos AA,BB,CC

  • Fog light bracket
    Mount the fog light bracket to factory fog lights using the 1/4″ hardware provided .

  • Install bumper
