Notes on the USB connector:
- For the recording and time-shifting function, please use a fast USB flash device with higher capacity (>2 GB) and USB 2.0 interface from a reliable manufacturer such as SAMSUNG, HITACHI and SONY. Some USB devices may not be supported due to low quality. For USB 3.0 devices, use a high-quality USB 2.0 connection cable.
- The USB memory device must be plugged directly into the device. Do not use a USB extension cable to avoid data transmission failure and interference.
- Before using a USB memory device, test its communication function with the device and its data reading and writing speed.
- For maximum read speed, we recommend keeping the disk space defragmented. If the writing and reading of the storage device is not smooth, undesirable phenomena can occur, such as dropouts of part of the image or whole frames, disturbances in the sound, and in extreme cases even stopping the operation. Unexpected behaviour of the connected storage device or the presence of viruses and other malicious software can cause the device to stop functioning and even need to be restarted.
- The USB connector is a standard type and cannot power USB devices with high power consumption (e.g. HDDs). Use self-powered devices and power them from their own power supplies.
- The device has been designed for maximum compatibility with storage devices. Due to the variety of devices on the market, compatibility with every USB device cannot be guaranteed. In case of problems, try formatting the memory device directly in the device. If the problem persists, use another storage device.
