Frequently Asked Questions
How often should you change the HEPA filter in a vacuum?
HEPA or high-efficiency particulate air filters filter out particles as small as 0.3 microns and keep them from being released back into the air by your vacuum cleaner’s exhaust. It’s good practice to change your vacuum cleaner’s HEPA filter every 6 months.
Can I use my vacuum without the HEPA filter?
When you use a vacuum cleaner without a HEPA filter, these particles are stirred up and put back out into the air through your vacuum’s exhaust. Regular filters can’t remove these harmful particulates and this puts the people in your home at risk.
How often should you use your robot vacuum?
Most owners believe that running their robot vacuums four times per week is sufficient to keep the floors dust-free. However, if you have children or pets, you should use your robot vacuum more frequently. Daily vacuuming is recommended if you suffer from seasonal allergies.
Are vacuum filters washable?
Any fine dust remaining in the filter can usually be removed with a gentle rinse under a cold tap–hold the filter under the running water until the water runs clear. You shouldn’t need to use any detergent – just water.
What is an eco mode on the vacuum?
This mode reduces motor consumption by 50% to help reduce costs and provide a more sustainable choice. Easily set the TASKI AERO vacuum cleaner to operate at any time of day with the Eco mode. The noise reduction function to 50dB(A) is perfect for an environment in which the noise level is sensitive
Which vacuum setting to use?
For bare floors, use the lowest or bare floor setting, for short and medium pile carpets use a medium setting and finally, for plush carpets use the highest setting. When vacuuming, there should be minimal resistance, if it is difficult to push, adjust to the next highest setting.
Do vacuums purify the air?
Vacuum cleaners take in air and debris and pass it through the machine before expelling the clean air through a HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter. However, if the vacuum leaks before it reaches that filter, those particulates escape back into the air.
Do vacuums use a lot of electricity?
Vacuum cleaner energy use varies. A major driver of vacuum cleaner power usage is the motor. Commonly available vacuum models have motors that use between 500 and 3,000 watts of energy, with the average machine using about 1,400 watts
Does vacuum clean dust?
A really good vacuuming job can draw in up to 99 percent of the dirt and dust in an area — a boon to neatness as well as healthy living.
How to clean your vacuum?
Empty the vacuum cleaner, discard the contents in the outside trash, and use an anti-bacterial wipe to clean the vacuum. Let it dry thoroughly. If your manufacturer says your vacuum canister is washable, wash it out with warm, soapy water, and then rinse it and let it dry.
