TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible reason Possible solution
After finishing shredding, the motor still runs There is too much shredded

paper in the wastebasket so that the paper which is being shredded cannot fall down and leave the cutting head| Cut off the power and empty the wastebasket
Paper feed and cutting mechanism rotation is normal but there is still some scrapped paper hanging at the output of the cutting head| Shredded paper has been clamped by the blades| Set the mode switch to the REV position (if needed, clean the

shredded paper at the output of the cutting

head)

Paper is in the entry but the shredder doesn’t work| Paper wasn’t inserted into the entry properly| Make sure the paper touches the entry slot at its whole width (the paper is inserted as straight as possible)
The paper is jammed and the blades stop rotating| The number of inserted paper exceeds max sheet capacity| Set the mode  switch to REV position and remove jammed paper
Locked motor activates the overheat protection| Unplug the shredder, then plug it again and let it cool down for a while
The shredder doesn’t start after inserting a sheet of paper| The paper is too thin, too soft, humid or too crinkly to activate the sensor| Fold the paper in half and try again; make sure the paper is clean and dry
Set the mode switch to REV position
