  • Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the device. These may damage the surfaces.
  1. The device should be used for the first time without any food in it as it may produce some smoke or odours due to coating residues. To do this, follow the instructions in the “Set-Up and Connection” and “Use” chapters.
Allow the device to heat up on the highest temperature setting (200°C) for approx. 10 minutes without any food in it.

SET-UP AND CONNECTION

Please Note!

  • Check the device and the connecting cable for damage each time before putting it into operation. The device should only be used when it is undam- aged and in working order.
  • Never place the device on a soft surface. The ventilation openings on the bottom of the device must not be covered.
  • Ensure there is sufficient clear space on all sides. Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising steam could cause damage to them!
  • Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches the technical data of the  device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
  1. Place the device on the kitchen unit or another dry, clean, flat and heat- resistant work surface. Ensure there is sufficient clear space on all sides (at least 20 cm to the sides and 50 cm above).
  2.  Fully unwind the connecting cable and plug the mains plug into a plug socket. The symbols on the control panel (2) light up briefly and a beep is heard. The symbol (18) lights up constantly and the device is in standby mode.

USE

This device operates with hot air. It is not a conventional fryer in which food is deep-fried using lots of oil! In general, you can use this device to prepare all dishes that can also be prepared in a conventional fan oven. For good results, read through the “Tips” chapter.

Please Note!

  • Do not leave the device switched on when it is empty (apart from “burning off” prior to first use).
  • Do not place food that is still packed in plastic wrap or plastic bags in the device.
  • Make sure that the food does not come into contact with the heating element of the device.
  • Make sure that foodstuffs containing oil and fats are not overheated. They could ignite.
  • Do not overfill the drawer so that the hot air can circulate optimally inside the cooking chamber. Fill it no more than 2/3 full.
  • Always place the hot accessories down on a heat-resistant surface after use.
  • Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned, fallen or been dropped into water. Have it checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.

  1. Place the insert rack (3) into the drawer (6).

  2. Place food in the drawer.

  3. Slide the drawer all the way into the cooking chamber (7).

  4. Touch the symbol (18) for approx.
2 sec. to activate the control panel (2).

  5. Either manually adjust the cooking time and temperature or select one of the 8 programmes (see the “ Functions” chapter).

  6. Touch the symbol to start the cooking process.

The set temperature and the remaining time are shown alternately on the display (12).
The heating control lamps go out as soon as the set temperature has been reached.

  7. Once the set time has elapsed, the cooking process is automatically ended. A beep is heard, the heating control lamps flash and the display shows OFF. The fan continues to run for a few more seconds.

To resume the heating process, slide the drawer all the way back into the cooking chamber and touch again if necessary.
Ending the Cooking Process Prematurely
To end the cooking process before the set cooking time elapses, touch for approx. 2 sec. until OFF appears on the  display. Then touch again for approx.
2 sec. to confirm the cancellation.

TIPS

  • Generally no oil or only a small amount of oil (2 to 3 teaspoons) is required for preparing food.
  • The cooking time is dependent on the size and quantity of the food and on the temperature. However, in general the cooking time is shorter than in aconventional oven. Until you are properly familiar with the device, startwith a shorter cookingtime and gradually increase it if required. Check the condition of the food being cooked from time to time.
  • Mix the food around from time to time or turn it with tongs to obtain an even cooking result.
  • When preparing mass-produced frozen products, you should follow the times and temperatures specified by the manufacturer. Before the specified cooking time elapses, check whether the food is already cooked through.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Please Note!

  • Allow the device to cool down for at least 30 minutes before cleaning it.
  • Never spray hot water onto the hot accessories to prevent material damage.
  • Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the device. These may damage the surfaces.
  1. Wipe down the outside of the main unit (1) and the cooking chamber (7) and the heating element with a clean, damp cloth if necessary.
Do not clean in the dishwasher or immerse in water!

  2. Clean the insert rack (3) with detergent and warm water or in the dishwasher.
To maintain the quality for as long as possible, it should preferably be rinsed by hand. Wipe out the drawer (6) or rinse it under running water.
In the case of stubborn dirt, soak in warm water and detergent beforehand.

  3. Allow all parts to dry completely or dry them off.

  4.  Store the device in a clean, dry place so that it is out of the reach of children and animals.
