The Slide-to-Read ABC Flash CardsTM is an educational toy designed to introduce letters and letter sounds to children. It consists of thirteen double-sided cards featuring colorful animal images and fun sentences for each letter. The flash cards are interactive and provide audio feedback to enhance learning.
Product Features
- On/Off/Volume Control Switch: Slide the switch to turn the unit on or off and adjust the volume.
- Mode Switch: Slide the switch to select different modes such as Letter Mode, Find It Mode, or Music Mode.
- 13 Double-Sided Letter Cards: Touch letters, images, and words that begin with the target letter. Slide a finger over the sentence to hear it read out loud.
- Star Button: Press the button to hear learning songs, repeat questions, or add sound effects in different modes.
- Automatic Shut-Off: The unit will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity to preserve battery life. It can be turned on again by pressing the star button or sliding the mode switch.

WARNING: All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
NOTE: Please save this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.
Unlock the Packaging Locks
- Rotate the packaging lock 90 degrees counterclockwise.
- Pull out the packaging lock and discard.
INSTRUCTIONS
Battery Removal and Installation
- Make sure the unit is turned Off.
- Find the battery cover located on the back of the unit, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.
- Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
- Install 3 new AAA (AM-4/LR03) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended.)
- Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.
WARNING
- Adult assembly required for battery installation.
- Keep batteries out of reach of children.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
- Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type asv recommended are to be used.
- Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
- Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
- Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
- Remove rechargeable batteries (if removable) from the toy before charging.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
PRODUCT FEATURES
- On/Off/Volume Control Switch
- Slide the On / Off / Volume Control Switch to the Low or High position to turn on the unit. To turn the unit Off, slide the On/Off/ Volume Control Switch to the Off position.
- Mode Switch
- Slide the Mode Switch to learn letters in Letter Mode, play a game of Find It, or create fun musical compositions in Music Mode.
- 13 Double-Sided Letter Cards
- Touch letters, images, and words that begin with the target letter. Slide a finger over the sentence to hear it read out loud.
- Star Button
- Press the Star Button to hear two learning songs in Letter Mode. In Find-it Mode, use the Star Button to repeat the Questions. In Music Mode, press the Star Button for adding Sound effects into the music.
- Automatic Shut-Off
- To preserve battery life, the unit will automatically shut off after a period of time when there has been no input from the user. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the star button or sliding the mode switch.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
- Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
- Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
- Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
- Please turn the unit Off.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
- Turn the unit back On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
- If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
Environmental Phenomena
The unit may malfunction if subjected to radio-frequency interference. It should revert to normal operation when the interference stops. If not, it may become necessary to turn the power Off and back On, or remove and reinstall the batteries. In the unlikely event of an electrostatic discharge, the unit may malfunction and lose memory, requiring the user to reset the device by removing and reinstalling the batteries.
