Operating Instructions

This appliance is intended for household use only. Revlon® anti-static IONIC® dryers are designed for safety and performance. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature. For U.S. residents only: In the event of immersion, the protective device will not allow the appliance to operate. Periodically check the safety plug to verify that it is in proper working order. Simply place the plug into the outlet and press the TEST button. The appliance should immediately stop. To resume operating the appliance, press the RESET button. In the event the TEST button does not work properly, return the appliance to the manufacturer.

STYLING TIPS

• Always towel dry hair to remove excess water.
• Set the dryer at the highest heat and speed settings and circulate the airflow through your hair. DO NOT concentrate airflow on any one area for an extended period of time.
• When hair is almost dry, lower heat and speed to style.
• Push the Cool Shot Button to set the style with cool air once you’ve achieved the desired style.

SMOOTHING CONCENTRATOR

By concentrating the airflow, individual sections of the hair can be styled at a time. To attach, simply press the concentrator into the air outlet until it snaps into place. To remove, allow the dryer and attachment to cool, then gently pull the attachment away from the dryer.

VOLUMIZING DIFFUSER

The Volumizing Diffuser will soften the airflow from the hair dryer to give you voluminous defined curls. To use, push the diffuser onto the end of the airflow nozzle. Place a section of your curls into the fingers of the diffuser and move gently over the scalp while drying. To clean, remove it from the dryer wash it in warm, soapy water, and rinse. Allow the diffuser to dry completely before reattaching it to the dryer.

REMOVABLE END CAP

• To remove the end cap, make sure the unit is unplugged, then turn the end cap counterclockwise and pull it away from the dryer.
• Dust off the end cap.
• It may be washed but must be dried completely before reattaching it to the dryer.
• To replace the end cap, align the tabs of the end cap with the slots on the back of the dryer. Push the end cap onto the dryer and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance is equipped with a thermostat that may cycle OFF or cause the heaters to turn off if the temperature exceeds comfort level due to partially blocked air inlet or outlet openings. In the event that the appliance stops or releases only cool air during use, turn off the switches and allow the appliance to cool down, at which time the thermostat will automatically reset. During use, DO NOT block the air openings. When using this appliance near water (e.g. bathrooms), the use of an electrical outlet protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter is recommended.

Maintenance

Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free. NO lubrication is needed. Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning becomes necessary, unplug the appliance from the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist it prior to use.

Cleaning Instructions

Dust and lint can be removed from air intake openings with a small brush or vacuum cleaner brush attachment. DO NOT allow moisture or additional debris to enter the unit while cleaning.

If any malfunction occurs, DO NOT attempt to repair it. This appliance has no user-serviceable parts.

STORAGE

Unplug the appliance when not in use. Allow appliances to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance because this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle the cord carefully for a longer life and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting, or straining the cord, especially at plug connections.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION

• NEVER wrap the power cord around the appliance. Any pulling, twisting, severe folding, or bending can damage the cord, especially at the point of entry into the unit, which may rupture the cord and cause an electrical short or other failure.
• Regularly inspect the cord. DO NOT use an appliance with a twisted, bent, or otherwise damaged cord, or if the appliance receives power irregularly. If the cord is damaged, or for irregular power issues, refer to the instructions in the WARNING section further below.

STORAGE

• The appliance should be disconnected and allowed to cool before storage. DO NOT apply stress or tension to the cord’s point of entry into the unit. During storage, the cord should remain loose with no tight bends or folds, and the appliance should be placed in a secure, dry location out of reach of children. For further details, refer to the STORAGE section of the Operating Instructions.

When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

10. Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.

11. DO NOT direct hot air toward eyes or other heat-sensitive areas.

12. Attachments (when furnished) may become hot during use. Allow them to cool before handling.

13. DO NOT place the appliance on any surface while it is operating.

14. While using the appliance, keep your hair away from the air inlets.

15. DO NOT operate this appliance with a voltage converter.

16. DO NOT use an extension cord with this appliance.

Limited 36-Month Warranty

This appliance is warranted against defects in material or workmanship for 36 months from the date of purchase. Any problems arising from misuse attempts at repair, dropping, or extreme wear are not covered by this warranty. The store where the item was purchased is authorized to make an exchange only if the return is made within 30 days from the purchase date.
