AtomStack M150 Laser Module
The AtomStack M150 Laser Module is a laser engraver system component that must be installed in other manufacturers’ laser engravers for use. The laser module belongs to Class 4 laser products and requires the laser system itself to meet the requirements of IEC 60825-1 latest version. Failure to meet these requirements prohibits the use of the product.

Security Statement and Warnings:

  1. Read the safety guide carefully before using the laser engraving system. It contains important information about situations that require special attention and warnings of unsafe practices that can cause damage to property or personal safety.
  2. The laser engraver must have a protective housing that prevents human access to laser radiation.
  3. If the protective housing has an access panel providing walk-in access:
    • A means should be provided for anyone inside the protective housing to prevent activation of a laser hazard equivalent to Class 3B or Class 4.
    • A warning device should be positioned to adequately warn of emissions of laser radiation equivalent to Class 3R in the wavelength range below 400 nm and above 700 nm, or emissions equivalent to Class 3B or Class 4.
    • If walk-in access during operation is intended or reasonably foreseeable, engineering means must be implemented to prevent emission of laser radiation equivalent to Class 3B or Class 4 while someone is present inside the protective housing of a Class 1, Class 2, or Class 3R product. This can include pressure-sensitive floor mats, infrared detectors, etc.
  4. The laser itself is equipped with a protective cover that should be securely fastened with screws when installed on the laser engraver. The protective cover should not be removed in the energized state.
  5. The housing of the laser engraver should have an interlock function that automatically turns off the laser when opened or removed.
  6. An emergency stop button should be present on the laser engraver to immediately stop the laser output in unexpected circumstances.
  7. A reset button should be available on the laser engraver to resume work after confirming safety by lifting the interlock or emergency stop.
  8. The laser engraver should implement physical keys, dongles, password systems, or other means of management and control to prevent unauthorized personnel from operating the equipment without security training.
  9. Any window or channel on the laser engraver that can actively observe or passively receive laser radiation should be marked with warning signs.
  10. In case of laser burns to the skin or eyes, seek immediate medical examination and treatment at a nearby hospital.

Before Using the laser engraving, please read this safety guide carefully, it mentions situations that require special attention and includes warnings of unsafe practices that can cause damage to your property or even endanger your personal safety.

  1. This product is a laser engraver system components, must be installed in other manufacturers of laser engraver for use.And the product belongs to Class 4 laser products, the laser system itself must meet the requirements of IEC 60825-1 latest version, other-wise the product is prohibited to be used.
  2. Your laser engraver shall have a protective housing which, when in place, prevents human access to laser radiation.

NOTE Methods to prevent human access to radiation when persons are inside the protective housing can include pressure sensitive floor mats, infrared detectors, etc.
  4. The laser itself has a protective cover, the protective cover is fastened by screws. When the laser is installed on the laser engraver, the protective cover should be checked to be reliably locked, and can not be removed in the energized state.
  5. The housing of the laser engraver should have an interlock function. When the housing is opened or removed, the laser can be automatically turned off.
  6. The laser engraver should have an emergency stop button, which can immediately stop the output of the laser when pressed under unexpected circumstances.
  7. The laser engraver should have a reset button, which can resume work under the condition of confirming safety after lifting the interlock or emergency stop.
  8. Laser engraver should use physical keys, dongle, password system and other ways to manage and control, to prevent personnel without security training operation of this kind of equipment.
  9. On the laser engraver any window or channel that can actively observe or passively receive the laser radiation should be set up warning marks.
  10. If the laser burns the skin or eyes, please go to a nearby hospital for examination and treatment immediately.

Installation method

If the machine is as shown in the figure below, please install the dovetail slider
Remove the original laser and laser fixed slider The fixed slider of M150 module is a dovetail slider. If the original machine slider is also a dovetail slider, the M150 module can be directly installed and used;

  1. Remove the original laser and laser fixed slider

If the machine is as shown in the figure below, there is no need to install the dovetail slider

For users who want to use the previous laser module after replacing the cable, we have provided a conver-sion cable, please choose according to your needs

Note:
The driving current of M150 module is relatively large, you need to use the equipped motherboard cable

  • A lot of smoke is qenerated in engraving or cutting wood and other obiects.be aware of cleaning the air quide hood and anti-skid cover,since there may be a lot of dust accumulation on itespecially working with more than 50% of the laser power.
  • Remove the shield if you couldor tum on the air assit while machine working,all of which would significantly reduce dust accumulation.

The laser dower of this machine is very hiah. if you need to cut wood and other fammable materials with a power of more than 70%, please ensure someone is watching the machine in case of the flammable materials catches fire.

Cautions

LASER BEAM CAN DAMAGE EYES

  1. Laser Light can damage the human eyes and skin. Do not expose the eye or skin to laser light directly.
  2. This Laser product has an optical lens and emits a collimated laser beam.
  3. The light from this product, both direct and reflected, is very harmful as it can propagate a long distance while maintaining high optical density.
  4. When handling the product, wear appropriate safety glasses (OD5+) to protect eyes from laser light including reflected and stray light.
  5. The reflected and stray light spilling into an unintended area should be attenuated and/or absorbed.

Maintenance instructions and warning

This product uses a highly integrated design and requires no maintenance. However, if the laser system installed with this product needs to be repaired or tuned, please:

  1. Unplug the power cord on the laser, so that the laser is in a state of power failure;
  2. If you need laser assistance for tuning, please:
  3. All present personnel wear protective glasses,OD5+ protective glass is needed ;
  4. Make sure there are no flammable or explosive materials around;
  5. The position and direction of the laser are fixed to ensure that the laser will not accidentally moveand shine on people, animals, flammable, explosive and other dangerous and valuable objects during debugging.
  6. Don’t look at lasers
  7. Do not shine the laser on the mirror object, lest the laser reflection cause accidental injury.
