  1. After determining the installation position of the router, first fix the router hanger to the
    installation position. 4 screws are needed to fix hanger, and its specifications will be determined by the client according to the structure of the installation site in the vehicle. As shown in Figure 2

  2. According to the length of the power cord of the configured router and the specifications of the harness connector, the user needs to design and lay out the power output cable in the vehicle to the installation location in advance.
     Range of input power voltage:9-32VDC

  3. Open the SIM card slot cover of the router, insert the SIM card in the indicated direction and fasten the cover. As shown in Figure 3

  4. This product supports GPS antenna access. GPS antenna is optional and not included in the package. If the customer selects a GPS antenna, connect a GPS antenna to the GPS antenna connector of the router. As shown in Figure4

  5. Connect the power cord end of the router to the power output line in the vehicle, and turn on the power switch in the vehicle to get the normal power supply to the router. At this time, the status indicator lights up and off when working normally, and the abnormal condition is always on or off.

  6. After the router is turned on and working normally, align the four bolts at the bottom of the
    router with the corresponding empty positions of the hanger; at the same time, push hard in the indicated direction to make the bolt and the mounting hole of the hanger form a tight fit, then hang the router upside down on the hanger. As shown in Figure 5

  7. Lay the GPS antenna to the side of the vehicle centering on the installation position of the router, and fix the patch on the other end of the antenna horizontally to the lower edge of the vehicle window or the position where sun could shine. As shown in Figure 6

  8. It is recommended to install the on-board router in the middle of the center of the bus or on the surface of the luggage rack on both sides, which is conducive to the laying of power cables inside the vehicle and GPS antenna installation and Wi-Fi signal transmission.

  9. When the router is connected to the power supply, the running status (blue) indicator lights on and flashes about once every a second, indicating that the device system is in working state; when the 4G signal (green) indicator lights on and with the following phenomena correspond to the following status:
    • Flashing slowly: searching signal status
    • Flashing slowly: stand-by status
    • Flashing fastly: data transmission mode

  10. After confirming that the router enters the standby state, turn on the mobile communication device (mobile phone or tablet)-Settings-turn on Wi-Fi, select the default SSID of the device: Wi-Fi, click to connect to this Wi-Fi hotspot. For the Wi-Fi name, please refer to the relevant content of this manual, and log in to the background to make custom changes.

  11. Make sure that the mobile communication device and the router can normally link and log in to the Internet. At this time, use the T10 wrench of the fixing screw in the accessory to fix the KM3 * 10 (T10) screw to the router and the hanger. As shown in Figure 7
    • If cannot connect to the Internet at this time, change or reset according to the relevant prompts in the “Setup Instructions” and restart the power supply and link again.。

4. Common problems

4.1. Forgot router login account
Press and hold the reset button to restore the default factory settings. After restoring the settings, the web login address is [192.168.1.1:8088], and the login user name and password: root

4.2. Sometimes the WiFi signal is missing, which may be caused by the following conditions
a. When the device is moving, the SIM card is in poor contact. Turn off the power, reinsert and restart;
b. The SIM card does not select a standard large card, resulting in poor contact;
c. The device may not be within the coverage of the local mobile operator’s network;
d. Insufficient power of base station equipment in GSM network.

4.3. About upstream and downstream rates.
a. The communication module of this product is the Cat4 wireless communication module designed for the M2M and IoT fields by Shanghai Yiyuan Communication Technology Co., Ltd., a leading global supplier of wireless modules. Using 3GPP Rel. 11 technology, theoretically supports a maximum downlink rate of 150 Mbit / s and a maximum uplink rate of 50 Mbit / s. However, in actual applications, it may be restricted or restricted by factors such as the operator ’s base station equipment, operator ’s technology, and the router ’s “QoS flow control” function,
resulting in users not being able to play videos smoothly and quickly browse high-definition
pictures or GIF dynamic images.

b. But in practical applications, the important factors that affect the rate are as follows:

  • Whether the system settings are correct
  • Mobile terminal factor
  • Base station hardware and transmission factor
  • Base station radio frequency failure (RRU) or standing wave ratio alarm, base station antenna port partial failure, antenna port power imbalance
  • GPS failure or clock synchronization failure
  • Base station BBU baseband processing capacity is reduced
  • DU software failure
  • Transmission bandwidth limitation
  • Wireless environmental impact (direct impact on SINR)
  • Unreasonable power parameters prevent primary coverage, resulting in low SINR
  • Overlay overlay
  • Over coverage
  • Weak indoor coverage
  • Switching problem
  • Internal interference
  • External interference
  • User behavior factor
  • Other factors
