Product Information
The IDLV-65 series is a 65W PWM Output LED Driver. It is designed to provide power and control for LED lighting applications. The driver is compliant with the IS 15885(Part 2/Sec13) standard and manufactured by Thomas Samuel. The model variations available are IDLV-65-12, IDLV-65-24, IDLV-65-36, IDLV-65-48, and IDLV-65-60.

Product Usage Instructions
To use the IDLV-65 series LED Driver, follow these steps:
- Ensure that the input voltage is within the specified range of 180 ~ 295VAC and the frequency is between 47 ~ 63Hz.
- Connect the LED lighting load to the appropriate DC output terminals based on the desired voltage (12V, 24V, 36V, or 48V).
- If dimming functionality is required, connect a PWM signal source to the dimming input terminals.
- If using the A-Type driver, you can utilize the auxiliary DC output by connecting a load requiring a nominal 12V with a deviation of 11.4~12.6 and consuming up to 50mA.
- Ensure that the total number of connected PSUs does not exceed the recommended limit of 32 units for a 16A circuit breaker (type B or C) at 230VAC.
- Verify that the power factor is above 0.95/230VAC or 0.9/277VAC at full load.
- Monitor the total harmonic distortion, which should be below 20% at the specified load conditions.
- Take note of the efficiency rating, which ranges from 85% to 90% depending on the model.
- Be aware of the inrush current during cold start, which can reach a maximum of 30A for a brief duration.

Description
IDLV-65 series is a 65W AC/DC LED driver featuring the constant voltage mode PWM style output design. IDLV-65 operates from 180~295VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 60V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -20°C~ +85°C case temperature under free air convection. IDLV-65 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the design flexibility for LED lighting system.

NOTE|
- All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25°C of ambient temperature. 2. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
- Aux. 12V will be damaged with short circuit; it will not be available with dimming off or output no load condition.
- The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify MC Directive on the complete installation again.
- The ambient temperature derating of 3.5°C/1000m with fabless models and of 5°C/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft)

DIMMING OPERATION
Dimming principle for PWM style output
- Dimming is achieved by varying the duty cycle of the output current
2 in 1 dimming function
Applying additive 0 ~ 10VDC
Applying additive 10V PWM signal (frequency range 300Hz~3KHz):
Note :
- Min. duty cycle of output current is about 8% and the output current is not defined when 0%< Iout<8%.
- The duty cycle of output current could drop down to 0% when dimming input is about 0Vdc or 10V PWM signal with 0% duty cycle.
- To ensure the dimming effect, total power must be over 45W at 100% duty cycle.
