Product Information

The IDLV-25 series is a 25W PWM Output LED Driver designed for powering LED lighting systems. It is compliant with IS 15885(Part 2/Sec13) standards and manufactured by Thomas Samuel. The driver operates on a wide input voltage range of 90 to 295VAC and has a frequency range of 47 to 63Hz. It offers dimming capabilities and has a power factor of greater than 0.9 at full load.

The IDLV-25 series is available in multiple models, each with different output voltages and rated currents:

Product Usage Instructions

To use the IDLV-25 series LED Driver, follow these instructions:

  1. Ensure that the input voltage is within the specified range of 90 to 295VAC.
  2. Connect the LED lighting system to the appropriate model of the IDLV-25 series LED Driver based on the desired output voltage.
  3. Make sure the total load does not exceed the rated power of the LED Driver.
  4. If dimming is required, refer to the PWM frequency and setup time specifications to adjust the output voltage accordingly.
  5. If an auxiliary DC output is needed, connect the appropriate device to the designated terminals of the LED Driver. Note that the auxiliary DC output is only available for A-Type models.
  6. Ensure proper grounding and electrical safety measures are in place.

Description

IDLV-25 series is a 25W AC/DC LED driver featuring the constant voltage mode PM style output design. IDLV-25 operates from 90~295VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 60V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 84%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -20°C~ +90°C case temperature under free air convection. IDLV-25 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the design flexibility for LED lighting system.

NOTE|

  1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25°C of ambient temperature.
  2. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
  3. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
  4. Aux. 12V will be damaged with short circuit; It will not be available with dimming off or output no load condition.
  5. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since MC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify MC Directive on the complete installation again.
  6. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5°C/1000m with fanless models and of 5°C/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).
  7. To fulfill requirements of the latest Er regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED power supply can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.

Note:

  1. Min. duty cycle of output current is about 9% and the output current is not defined when 0%< Iout<9%.
  2. The duty cycle of output current could drop down to 0% when dimming input is about 0Vdc, or 10V PWM signal with 0% duty cycle.
