Product Information
The product is a headlight LED device designed for various applications. It comes with different attachments and accessories, such as cable retainers, clips, and a belt clip. - Protect the headlight LED from knocks, blows, and excessive heat. Avoid placing it on a heater or in direct sunlight.
- Ensure that other people, particularly children, are aware of these risks.
Product Usage Instructions
Assembly
The assembly process depends on the specific item number and attachment:
- For combiPLUS (w): Insert the adapter from below on the frame edge.
- For maxDETAIL (e): Attach the adapter to the bridge of the center section.
- For laboCOMFORT (r): Insert the adapter in the cut-out in the headband.
Note: The carrier mounting and clip are supplied with the adapter for items 160421 and 160422. For item 162452, the cable clamp (q) is already clipped onto the temple.
Attaching the Cable
Use the provided rubber clips (u) as cable guides on temples of different thicknesses. Choose the appropriate clip and attach it to the temple of your glasses. Press the cable into the groove of the clip to ensure a clean and trouble-free routing of the cable along the temple.
Additional Mobility
You can attach the belt clip to the back of the battery case for extra mobility. Alternatively, you can put the battery case into a pocket of your clothing.

Before initial use
Before using the device for the first time, please read the entire manual carefully so that you can get to know all the functions of the device.
Safety instructions
- Risk of dazzling and injury! Do not look at the light source on the underside of the housing for long periods! Risk group 2 in accordance with EN 62471:2008. Exposure hazard value EHV = 60. The risk group 1 limit values are complied with at a distance of 40 cm, the free group limit values are complied with at a distance of 66 cm. Retina hazard due to blue light 400 nm to 780 nm.

Assembly
- The adapter for combiPLUS (w) is inserted from below on the frame edge.
- The adapter for maxDETAIL (e) is attached to the bridge of the centre section.
- The adapter for laboCOMFORT (r) is inserted in the cut-out in the headband
For articles 160421 and 160422, the carrier mounting and the clip are supplied with the adapter. On delivery, the light element of the head light LED is already clipped into the adapter. With item 162452, the cable clamp (1) is also already clipped onto the temple. To open the battery compartment cover (10) push it down and insert 3 × 1.5 V size ‘AA’ batteries in accordance with the polarity diagram in the battery compartment. We recommend the use of rechargeable batteries for frequent use. Replace the battery compartment cover.
Attach the belt clip to the back of the battery case for extra mobility. You can also put the battery case into a pocket of your clothing. Two separate rubber clips (7) are supplied in varying thickness for use as a cable guide on temples of differing thicknesses. These ensure a clean, trouble-free routing of the cable along the temple. Attach the appropriate cable clip for the temple of your glasses and press the cable into the groove:
Operation
Press the on/off button (9) once to turn on the light. Press this button again to turn the light to a lower level (Eco mode). Press it again to turn off the headlight LED. If the battery power becomes very low, the light starts to flicker. Switching over from full to Eco-mode is no longer possible. On the back of the battery case you will find a cable retainer (11) for storing the connecting cable (8) when not in use.

Care Instructions
- When cleaning the headlight LED do not use any soap solutions that contain softening agents, alcoholic or organic solvents, and do not use abrasive detergents!
- Do not clean the headlight LED in an ultrasonic bath or under flowing water!
- Only clean the headlight LED with a soft, dry cloth. For heavier soiling (e.g. fingerprints), moisten the cloth slightly.
Warranty
Within the parameters of the applicable statutory provisions, we provide a warranty for the functioning of the product described in this manual with regard to faults arising in connection with manufacturing defects or material defects. In event of damage due to improper handling, including damage from a fall or impact, no warranty claims can be made. Warranty claims are only accepted upon presentation of the sales receipt!
Disposal
When the device reaches the end of its useful life, do not dispose of it with the normal household waste. This product is subject to the European directive 2012/19/EC.
