PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Your new acquisition is a quality product from the house of Eschenbach. This top-class “Made in Germany” product was manufactured using the most up-to-date production methods available. Congratulations on your choice. With MAXEvent you can see things twice as large at events such as concerts, and in the cinema or theatre. The focus of its design was on user-friendliness and a modern style.
SAFETY INSTRUCTION
-
Danger of blinding or injury! MAXEvent are not sunglasses! The metallic coating of the lenses do not offer protection from the sun’s rays! Never look at the sun or other very bright sources of light through optical equipment!
-
Risk of fire!
Lenses used in optical equipment may cause considera- ble damage by their “burning glass effect” if used or stored improperly. Make sure that optical lenses are ne- ver left uncovered in the sunlight. -
Make sure that other people and especially children are aware of this.
-
MAXEvent must not be used for driving in traffic!
-
Protect your MAXEvent from impact and excessive heat! Never place the MAXEvent on heaters or in sunlight.
Earpiece adjustment
The plastic earpieces can be bent in the desired position with- out warming. An internal metal wire ensures that the earpieces remain in this position.
ADJUSTMENT
The MAXEvent is designed for a distance of about 10 m and offers a dioptre adjustment (option for correcting defective vi- sion) of -2.75 dpt to +3.75 dpt. It can be adjusted for each eye individually. You can also use the dioptre adjustment to adapt the glasses to various distances.
Position yourself at the desired distance and put on your MAXE- vent.
Keep your left eye closed and turn the knurled ring [1] until your right eye can see in sharp focus. Do the same for the other eye.
Notes
Under the following circumstances, it might not be possible to see the image
perfectly:
- If the MAXEvent is bent open too far, for example due to an unusually large head, doubled images might occur, be- cause the optical axes of the two lens systems are not in parallel anymore.
- A very small or very large pupil spacing (eye spacing) can reduce the performance quality, because the image is not viewed through the optical zones of the MAXEvent anymore.
- If you normally have glasses with dioptres of less than -2.75 dioptres or greater than +3.75 dioptres, the dioptre adjustment feature of the MAXEvent cannot entirely com- pensate the defective vision.
- If you usually wear glasses with cylindrical lenses (e. g. for astigmatism), it might not be possible to achieve perfect focus. This depends on the strength of the cylinder
Care instructions
MAXEvent is a high-quality, technologically advanced, complex optical aid and needs to be handled and cared for accordingly. For protection of the mirror coating and the lenses against dust and external influences, we recommend that you store it in the case included.
- Do not use alcohol or organic solvents to clean the MAXEvent.
- Do not clean the MAXEvent in an ultrasonic bath!
Clean the MAXEvent with a soft cotton or linen cloth (such as cleaning cloths for eyeglasses). Moisten the cleaning cloth to remove more persistent stains (e.g. finger marks). Do not rub the sensitive mirror coating with a dry cloth
