Product Usage Instructions

1. Place the menasLUX directly on the text that needs to be magnified.
2. Press the q button to switch on the light.
3. Move the menasLUX over the text to read it.
4. After use, switch off the light by pressing the q button again.

Changing Batteries

The menasLUX is powered by a 1.5V battery (Size AA, Mignon) for the LED light. If the brightness of the light diminishes, it means the battery is discharged and needs to be replaced. Follow these steps:

1. Switch off the light.
2. Open the battery compartment by removing the battery cover on the underside of the housing.
3. Replace the battery with a new one of the same type, paying attention to the correct polarity.
4. Close the battery compartment by sliding the battery cover in the opposite direction.

• Lenses in optical devices can cause significant damage by focusing light to generate heat if handled or stored improperly. Be careful never to leave optical lenses lying in direct sunlight!
• Risk of blinding and injury!
• Never look directly into the sun or other bright light sources using optical devices!
• Protect your menasLUX from impacts and excessive XXheat. Never lay your menasLUX on a radiator or in direct sunlight.
• Also inform other people and children especially of XXthis safety measure!

Using the menasLUX

menasLUX is handy magnifier placed directly on the text to be read so that is presented larger.

1. Place the menasLUX on the text that is to be magnified.
2. Press the button q, to switch the light on.
3. Move the menasLUX over the text to read it.
4. After use, switch the light off by pressing the q button once again.

Changing batteries

Disposal

When the device reaches the end of its useful life, do not dispose of it with normal household waste. This product is subject to European directive 2002/96/EC. Dispose of the product or parts of the product through a certified disposal agency or your municipal disposal agency. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, contact your disposal agency. Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally friendly manner. Batteries and cells must not be disposed of in household waste! Provide for proper disposal.

Instructions on Care and Maintenance

Clean the menasLUX with a soft, lint-free cloth (i.e. eye glasses polishing cloth). With heavy soiling (i.e. fingerprints) clean the menasLUX carefully with a moist cloth. Never use alcoholic and/or organic solvents to clean the menasLUX as these can destroy it.

Warranty

Within the parameters of the applicable statutory provisions, we provide a warranty for the functioning of the product described in this manual with regard to faults arising in connection with manufacturing or material defects. In the event of damage due to improper handling, including damage from a fall or impact, no warranty claim exists. Warranty claims are only accepted upon presentation of the sale receipt!
