IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or injury, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including:
- This fan heater is for household use only.
- Connect the unit to a single phase AC supply of the voltage specified on the rating plate.
- In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the fan heater.
- Never leave unattended while in use. Always turn the function switch to 0 (off) and unplug it when not in use.
- Do not run the cable under carpeting, rugs, runners or the like. Arrange the cable away from high-traffic areas, where it will not be tripped over.
- Do not operate the fan heater with a damaged cable or plug, or if it malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- Avoid using an extension cable as it may overheat and cause a fire.
- Always use the fan heater on a dry, flat, heat-resistant surface. Do not place the cable near the hot surface of the fan heater.
- Use the fan heater in a well-ventilated area. Do not insert objects or block air outlets in any manner.
- Do not place this fan heater near flammable materials, such as furniture or curtains, as this may cause a fire.
- Do not use the fan heater in any area where gasoline, paint or other flammable liquids are stored, e.g., garages or workshops.
- Do not use this fan heater near a bath, shower or swimming pool. Never place it where it could fall into water.
- This fan heater should not be used by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been given instructions concerning use of the fan heater by someone responsible for their safety.
- Caution – some parts of this fan heater can become very hot and cause burns. Pay careful attention when children are present.
- Do not use this fan heater with a programmer, timer, separate remote control system or any other device that switches the fan heater on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
- Always use this heater in an upright position.
- Do not use the fan heater outdoors.
