Product Information

The Recorder is a versatile audio recording device that offers various features to enhance vocal and instrument recordings. It is designed and manufactured by Flamma Innovation Co., Ltd.

Power Supply
Please connect the designated adapter to an AC outlet of the correct voltage, Please be sure the adapter supplies DC 9v 500mA ,center negative . Unplug the adapter when not in use or during electrical storms

Operation instructions

  1. Microphone setting
    Connect to the microphone, and turn Off the LINE IN switch. Rotate the GAIN to adjust thegain value of the microphone signal. When using the condenser microphone, please turn On the 48V phantom power for use.
    Notes: While using the 48V phantom power, the current value will overdrive and be higher than the working value in a short time, therefore, the original power supply is recommended to avoid the unexpected issue of the microphone.

  2. Microphone Effect
    FV05 has built-in EQ, noise gate, and reverb for microphone signal.

    • EQ: FV05 provides three different EQ modes with a compressor. Press the TONE button to switch between three different modes. The color of the TONE button indicates the currently
    • Selected mode: RED for WARM; BLUE for BRIGHT; Off for FLAT.
    • Noise gate: Rotate the NG knob to reduce the background noise. Rotate the knob clockwise for a higher ratio of noise gate; rotate counterclockwise for a lower ratio of noise gate.
    • Reverb: FV05 has a built-in reverb effect for the microphone input or instrument input. For detailed information please refer to the REVERB part.
  3. Reverb effect adjustment
    FV05 has built-in reverb effects for the microphone and instrument. Please follow the instructions below for adjustment.

    • Hidden mode: Press and hold the TONE knob, and the TONE LED will blink in RED for entering the hidden mode; press and hold the TONE knob again, and the TONE LED will stop blinking for quitting from the hidden mode.
    • Microphone reverb: In the hidden mode, rotate the NG to adjust the reverb for the microphone reverb.
    • Instrument reverb: In the hidden mode, rotate the PLAY LEVEL to adjust the instrument reverb.
  4. Recording slots
    FV05 has 11 saving slots for recording tracks. 1-8 slots support up to 5 minutes capacity; 9-11 slots support up to 10 minutes capacity. Rotate the SONG to select a slot for recording and saving. After the recording is complete, the audio file will be saved in the selected slot, it will not lose if you switch to another slot or power the pedal Off.

  5. Recording procedure

    • AUTO REC: Unplug the power cord, and press and hold the footswitch while plugging in the power cord, the footswitch LED will blink in RED for a few seconds, the AUTO REC function is On; repeat the procedure, if the footswitch LED blinks in GREEN for a few seconds, the AUTO REC function is Off. With the AUTO REC On, the FV05 will start recording automatically if the input signal is detected. For detailed information about recording, please refer to the following instructions.
    • Empty: If the footswitch LED is Off, it indicates the currently selected slot is empty, without any recorded file.
    • Recording: When AUTO REC is On, press the footswitch to enter STANDBY mode, and the footswitch LED will blink in RED. When the first note is detected, the pedal will start recording and the footswitch LED will stop blinking and stay RED.
    • Cancel recording: When the AUTO REC is On and it is in the standby mode, press the footswitch again to quit standby mode; due to the protective circuit design, if the recording is interrupted in 1 second, the pedal will cancel the recording and quit the STANDBY mode.
    • Playback: In the REC/DUB/STOP status, press the footswitch, the footswitch LED will turn GREEN, and FV05 will start to play the recorded tracks for times. The footswitch LED will blink when every time the track is finished and back to the beginning.
    • Dub: In the PLAY status, press the footswitch to start recording the new layer of tracks (dub), and the footswitch LED will turn RED. The FV05 will keep recording until you press the footswitch again and start to playback.
    • Undo/redo: When the DUB is finished, press and hold the footswitch for 1 second to delete the last layer you have just recorded; press and hold the footswitch for 1 second again to recall the deleted layer. The footswitch LED will blink when UNDO/REDO is done.
    • STOP: In the REC/PLAY/DUB status, press the footswitch twice quickly to stop recording, the footswitch LED will blink in GREEN.
    • Delete: In the STOP status, press and hold the footswitch for 1 second to delete all the recorded tracks in the currently selected slot. The FV05 will quit the STANDBY mode after the delete is done.
  6. Playback volume level
    Rotate the PLAY LEVEL to adjust the playback volume level. When it is set to the “°50″ position, the volume level of the microphone and that of the instrument input are the same.

  7. Linear input
    FV05 supports the LINE-IN function for connecting to an external microphone amplifier, or connecting with the other FV series pedals in the effect chain for use. Toggle the LINE-in switch to turn it On. Then connect to the microphone amplifier or FV series pedal with the MIC input via XLR balanced cable. While using the LINE-IN signal, the GAIN control will not affect the GAIN level.

  8. Output mode
    FV05 has two output modes, the XLR OUT balanced mode, and the 6.35mm unbalanced mode. Please select it according to the amplifier/speaker device.While using the XLR OUT balanced output, please set the LIFT/GND to reduce the background noise according to the actual situation, and switch to GND for grounding.FLAMMA-FV05-Recorder-Pedal- \(7\)
