Intended Use
The Custom Breast Flange when used in place of the standard size breast fiange
included with the Ameda ® HygieniKit ® Milk Collection System or Manual Pump,
provides a larger nipple tunnel for added comfort and effectiveness for women
who need a larger tiange for pumping.
The Ameda Custom Breast Flanges, when used with an Ameda breast pump, are
intended to facilitate the expression and collection of breast milk from a
lactating woman for the purpose of feeding the collected milk to a child.

Before Every Use
Always wash hands well with soap and water. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
Please inspect the components for cracks or chips as they may affect the
functioning of the product.
If discovered, do not use. Contact your local Ameda Retailer for further
guidance.
Cleaning Before First and Every Use
Unless otherwise directed by your healthcare provider, prepare the product for
use as follows:
Before fisrst use, either
- Wash well in warm, soapy water and rinse well in warm, clean water. Allowb to air dry on a clean surface. Parts can also be washed on upper rack of a standard, household dishwasher. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
- Place parts in boiling water for 20 minutes. Allow to air dry on a clean surface.
Cleaning

Checking Flange Fit
Every mother needs a good breast fiange fit for greater comfort and better milk flow. What determines a breast fiange’s size – and your fit – is the width of its opening.
To check your fiange fitt, watch your nipple during pumping.
Use the pictures as a guide.
To use the larger figaranges in your kit:
- Replace standard fiange with larger flange.
- Move valve to larger flange.
- See instructions included in your Ameda HygieniKit Milk Collection System or Ameda Manual Pump to assemble other parts.
- Try the larger flange with and without the insert on each breast until youfnd
- the size that feels better and/or pumps more milk.
