Product Information
The XONE:96 is an audio mixer that requires firmware updates for optimal performance. The latest firmware version is v1.0.2.C, which includes maintenance updates and improvements. Product Usage Instructions
- Visit the website www.allen-heath.com/ahproducts/xone96 to download the correct Device Software for your operating system.
- Click on “Mac Device Software” and download the “current” Audio Firmware bundle: X96_AFW102C.zip.
- Move the downloaded X96_AFW102C.zip file to your system desktop and double-click it to extract the installer application (X96 Update 1.0.2.C.app).
- Connect your Mac to the mixer’s USB 1 port and power on the XONE:96.
- IMPORTANT: Make sure to connect to the USB 1 port during installation. If connected to USB 2, the installer application will not detect the XONE:96.
- Check that the XONE:96 mixer is correctly connected and visible via the Mac’s Audio/MIDI Setup dialogue. Go to Applications > Utilities > AudioMIDI Setup > Window > Show Audio Devices. Ensure that the XONE:96 mixer is not selected for sound playback or recording during the install.
- Close all Audio and MIDI applications before running the install.
- Run the Audio Firmware installer app (X96 Update 1.0.2.C.app) and follow the onscreen instructions.
- The installer’s title bar will display the version to be installed (v1.0.2).
- If the currently installed version displayed next to “Found” is v1.0.2, the XONE:96 is already up to date and the installation is not required.
- If the currently installed version displayed next to “Found” is v1.0.0, click the Update tab to continue.
- The installation process will take a few seconds and various messages will be displayed.
- After the installation is complete, close the installer app and power-cycle the XONE:96 mixer by turning it off and then on again before further use.
- The Audio Firmware update is now complete.

Ensure you download & install the correct Device Software for your operating system;

- Power-cycle the Xone:96 mixer (turn OFF/ ON) before further use.
- The Audio Firmware update is now complete.
