Product Information

The Rokid Max is a plug-and-play product that does not have built-in batteries. It is recommended to connect it to a device that supports DisplayPort over USB-C. The product comes with various accessories including a Blackout Cover, USB-C Cable, Nose Pads, Carrying Case, User Manual, and Cleaning Cloth. The Rokid Max features Diopter Knobs for myopia adjustment, a Brightness Button for adjusting brightness levels, Proximity Sensor, Directional Speakers, and a USB-C Port.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Connect the Rokid Max to a device that supports DisplayPort over USB-C.
  2. Wear the glasses from your forehead down to your face, ensuring they rest comfortably on the bridge of your nose.
  3. Adjust the nose pads for a perfect fit, allowing you to see the projected screen clearly in the middle of your field of view.
  4. To adjust the brightness, press the Brightness Button. There are six levels of brightness adjustment.
  5. To switch between 2D and 3D modes, press and hold the Brightness Button for 2 seconds for 3D (SBS) mode or continue to press and hold for 8 seconds for 3D (3840 x 1080) mode.
  6. To adjust for myopia (nearsightedness), wear the Rokid Max and find the two diopters by touching them. Twist one Diopter Knob at a time until you can see a clear image for each eye.
  7. To block outside light for a better viewing experience, install the Blackout Cover for Rokid Max.

How to Use
Rokid Max is a plug-and-play product that has no built-in batteries. Connecting it to a device that supports DisplayPort over USB-C is recommended.

How to Wear

  1. Connect Rokid Max to a device that supports DisplayPort over USB-C.
  2. Wear the glasses from your forehead down to your face. Make sure the glasses rest comfortably on the bridge of your nose.
  3. Adjust the nose pads to a perfect point, which allows you to perfectly see the projected screen in the middle of your point of view.

Adjust Brightness
Press the Brightness Button to adjust the brightness. The brightness has 6 levels of adjustment.

2D/3D Switch
Press and hold the Brightness Button for 2s to switch to 3D(SBS) Mode. Continue to press and hold the Brightness Button for 8s to switch to 3D(3840 x 1080) Mode.

Adjust Volume
Press the Volume “+” or Volume “-” Button to increase or reduce the volume.

Myopic Adjustment
Rokid Max supports myopia(nearsightedness) adjustment from 0.00 to -6.00 D without wearing extra prescription glasses.

  1. After wearing the Rokid Max, find the two diopters by touching them.
  2. Twisting one Diopter Knob at a time until you can see a clear image for the corresponding eye. Then repeat the same action with the other. When everything is in clarity, you are good to go.

Blackout Cover Setup
You can block the outside light by installing a Blackout Cover for Rokid Max to get a better viewing experience.

Safety Precaution

  1. Rokid Max is a plug-and-play product that has no built-in batteries. Connecting it to a device that supports DisplayPort over USB-C is recommended.
  2. This product supports myopia adjustment from 0.00 to -6.00 D. If the user’s myopia degree exceeds the above range, or suffers from other vision symptoms such as hyperopia, astigmatism, etc., the user cannot see the screen clearly. Therefore, it is not recommend-ed for such users to use the product.
  3. Children under 13 years old (subject to domestic laws) are not recommended to use this product because their eyesight is not fully developed. If the user is over 13 years old (subject to local laws) but does not reach the legal age of majority, he/she must use our services under the supervision of their parents or legal guardians, and their parents or legal guardians must agree to abide by these terms of service.
  4. For these people who are under epilepsy, high blood pressure, heart disease, acrophobia, severe myopia, pregnant, and not suitable for 3D immersive experience and stimulating experience are not recommended to use this product. If you notice dizziness or eye fatigue during use, please stop using it immediately.
  5. Please do not use device at high volume for a long time to avoid hearing damage.
  6. Please do not use this device while driving.
  7. Please do not use the device while doing strenuous exercise.
  8. Please keep the device dry. Do not use it in a dusty, dirty, humid, or high-salinity environment (such as beach, seaside). This may cause the circuit failure in the device.
  9. Do not use the device during a thunderstorm. The thunderstorms can cause the malfunction of device and increase the risk of electric shock.
  10. Please use the device within its approved operating temperature range from 32°F (0℃) to 95°F (+35℃) of altitude, and keep it within its approved storage temperature range from -4°F (-20℃) to 113°F (+45℃). The environment with extreme temperature may damage the device.
  11. Do not put the device into the environment with the high temperatures, such as strong sunlight, the heaters, the microwave or the conventional ovens. If the device overheats it may cause the battery to explode.
  12. Do not disassemble or modify the equipment, insert foreign matters, or immerse in water or other liquids.
  13. Do not put the device on the fire as it may catch fire.
  14. Please dispose of the device in accordance with local regulations. Do not dispose of the device as the normal household waste. Please respect the local laws and cycling policy on the disposal of the product and its accessories.
  15. Do not allow children or pets to chew or suck the device or its accessories. Doing so may result in the damages.
  16. Do not drop, squeeze, or pierce the device. Excessive pressure on the device may damage the device or cause a failure, short circuit.
  17. The device and its accessories may contain the small components. Keep them out of the reach of children, who may damage them by mistake or swallow these small components, which may lead to the dangers such as choking.

Important Safety Warning
Never wear the headset in situations that require attention, such as running, jumping or bicycling. Immediately discontinue using the headset if any of the following symptoms are experienced: seizures; loss of awareness; eye strain; eye or muscle twitching; involuntary movements; altered, blurred, or double vision or other visual abnormalities; dizziness; disorientation; impaired balance; impaired hand-eye coordination; excessive sweating; increased salivation; nausea; lightheadedness; discomfort or pain in the head or eyes; drowsiness; fatigue; or any symptoms similar to motion sickness.

Do not drive, operate machinery, or engage in other visually or physically demanding activities that have potentially serious consequences (i.e., activities in which experiencing any symptoms could lead to death, personal injury, or damage to property), or other activities that require unimpaired balance and hand-eye coordination (such as playing sports or riding a bicycle, etc.) until you have fully recovered from any symptoms. If any part of your body becomes tired or sore while using the headset or its components, or if you feel symptoms such as tingling, numbness, burning or stiffness, stop and rest for several hours before using it again. Safe Use Environment
The headset produces an immersive virtual reality experience that distracts you from and completely blocks your view of your actual surroundings. Always be aware of your surroundings before beginning use and while using the headset. Use caution to avoid injury.
Serious injuries can occur from tripping, running into or striking walls, furniture or other objects, so clear an area for safe use before using the headset.
Take special care to ensure that you are not near other people, objects, stairs, balconies, open doorways, windows, furniture, open flames, ceiling fans or light fixtures or other items that you can bump into or knock down when using or immediately after using the headset.

Health and Hygiene Caution
Prolonged use should be avoided, as this could negatively impact hand-eye coordination, balance, and multi-tasking ability.
To reduce the risk of discomfort, adjust the inter-pupillary distance (IPD) for each user before use of the headset.
Take at least a 10 to 15 minute break every 30 minutes, even if you don’t think you need it. Each person is different, so take more frequent and longer breaks if you feel discomfort. You should decide what works best for you. A comfortable virtual reality experience requires an unimpaired sense of motion and balance. Do not use the headset when you are: tired; need sleep; under the influence of alcohol or drugs; hung-over; have digestive problems; under emotional stress or anxiety; or when suffering from cold, flu, headaches, migraines, or earaches, as this can increase your susceptibility to adverse symptoms.

We recommend seeing a doctor before using the headset if you are pregnant, elderly, have pre-existing binocular vision abnormalities or psychiatric disorders, or suffer from a heart condition or other serious medical condition.
The headset is worn next to your skin and scalp. Stop using the headset if you notice swelling, itchiness, skin irritation or other skin reactions. If symptoms persist, contact a doctor. To avoid transferring contagious conditions (like pink eye), do not share the headset with persons with contagious conditions, infections or diseases, particularly of the eyes, skin or scalp. The headset should be cleaned between each use with skin-friendly non-alcoholic antibacterial wipes and with a dry microfiber cloth for the lenses.

User Group
This product should not be used by children under the age of 13.
Adults should make sure children (age 13 and older) use the headset in accordance with health and safety warnings including making sure the headset is used as described in the user guide.
Adults should monitor children (age 13 and older) who are using or have used the headset for any of the symptoms described in these health and safety warnings (including those described under the Discomfort and Repetitive Stress Injury sections), and should limit the time children spend using the headset and ensure they take breaks during use.
VR device is not suggested for old people;
VR device is not suggested for sick people, except for the usage with special medical guidance;
VR device is not suggested for people with dioptric lower than (0.5).

Interference with Medical Devices
The Headset, Sensor, and Remote contain magnets or components that emit radio waves, which could affect the operation of nearby electronics, including cardiac pacemakers, hearing aids and defibrillators. If you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device, do not use the headset without first consulting your doctor or the manufacturer of your medical device. Maintain a safe distance between the headset and your medical devices, and stop using the headset if you observe a persistent interference with your medical device.

Operation and Maintenance
Review the hardware and software recommendations for use of the headset. Risk of discomfort may increase if recommended hardware and software are not used. The manufacturer shall specify the display technology and specific external display models for users. The manufacturer shall clearly specify all the operation menus and controls that user need to adjust to achieve best performance. The manufacturer shall guide user to wear the HMD in a comfortable way and how to clean the HMD.
