CAUTION!
Never remove the rating plate and any warning signs from the device.
Connection
DANGER! Electric shock hazard! The device can cause injuries due to
improper installation! Before installation and connecting the local power grid
specification should be compared with that of the device
(see rating plate). Connect the device only in case of compliance!
- Before connecting the device make sure that the voltage and frequency values on the rating plates are consistent with the existing electric installation. The allowable voltage deviation is ±10%.
- Make sure that the available electric connection conforms to the valid regulations and is equipped with protective wire. Use the cable of the sufficient cross-section for connection to the power supply.
- Between the device and the electric system, there must be a multipole switch installed, appropriate for the device’s power. The switch of contact separation of at least 3 mm must be easily accessible.
- Connect the device to the electric installation according to valid international, national, and local regulations.
- The device 100524 is equipped with a connection cable with a plug (single-phase 230 V). In order to connect to the power supply just insert the plug into the earthed socket with protective contact.
Operation
Before the first use
- Before the device operation clean it and its equipment according to the instructions in section 6 “Cleaning”.
- Place the grill in the device. Select grill level according to preparation method or size of dishes.
- In device 100524 insert the grill with the anti-tilt device into the guides (at the bottom, in the middle, at the top).
- The grill of variable vertical position in device 100528 is positioned in the following way: use the handle to insert the grill; set the required height with the use of both handles for grill position adjustment, tilting them towards inside and locking in the height adjustment bracket
- Place the supplied crumbs tray under the grill.
CAUTION!
Keep in mind that the crumbs tray should be placed under the grill in the
device to receive crumbs created during the preparation of food.
Settings
- Connect the device to the power supply. The green power indicator will come on.
- The device 100524 is equipped with one infrared emitting heater “Incoloy” and the device 100528 is equipped with two such heaters. Each radiator allows for independent power adjustment, depending on the food preparation method, and each is equipped with resistive heaters controlled by the temperature controller (Simmerstat).
- Temperature setting (levels 1 – 3) is realized with the use of an appropriate temperature controller.
The heating indicator comes on when the temperature controller is moved. After reaching the preset temperature the indicator goes off and comes on again when the temperature in the device drops below the setpoint and the controller reactivates the heater. That process is repeated until the temperature controller is set in position “0” (OFF).
Food preparation
- Place selected food in appropriate dishes (e.g. plates, baking molds, etc.) on the grill under the selected infrared radiator. Depending on the preparation method or size of containers select suitable grill guides (lower, central, upper).
- Food must not touch the heaters!
CAUTION!
The device is not designed for food preparation directly on the grill, always
use appropriate heat-resistant dishes (containers). Use the temperature
controller to set the appropriate temperature level (1 – 3) in the selected
heating zone. For roasting and grilling use the highest temperature level 3,
levels 1 and 2 are designed for heating or maintaining temperature.
CAUTION!
The device must be supervised during operation as any defect may cause
overheating and damage of the device!
HOT SURFACE! Burn hazard!
The grill and dishes become very hot during the operation. Food on the grill
should be removed with the use of handles and the grill should be placed on
the temperature-resistant surface. In order to avoid burns use protective
gloves or handle the plates/containers with food with the use of kitchen
towels.
- Carefully remove prepared food.
- When the device is no longer used set the temperature controllers to “0” and disconnect the device from the power supply.
- Allow it to cool down.
- Remove and empty the crumbs tray. Clean the crumbs tray periodically with the use of a soft moistened cloth and warm water. Dry the tray thoroughly before placing it in the device.
Cleaning
WARNING!
Before cleaning disconnect the electric power supply and wait for the device
to cool down. Never clean the device with the use of a water jet! Be careful
and do not let the water into the device.
CAUTION!
Use only soft cloths, and never use any abrasive cleaning agents that could
scratch the device’s surface.
Cleaning
- Due to hygienic reasons and to remove the defects the device should be cleaned after each working day, and when required between the grilling processes as well.
- Remove the grill and crumbs tray from the device, wash them with the use of a gentle cleaning agent, and rinse in clean water.
- Clean the interior and exterior of the device with the use of common degreasing agents.
