Product Information
THERMO-X-AIR is a high-quality heating unit manufactured by THERMOLEC LTD. It is designed to provide efficient heating and ventilation for various applications. Please read the installation instructions carefully before proceeding with the installation.
Mechanical Installation
The THERMO-X-AIR unit comes with the following components:
- Damper (optional)
- Thermal cutout
- Reversible Airflow
- Washable filter
- Fan
During installation, please keep the following points in mind:
- Do not install elbows closer than 8 inches to the inlet or the outlet of the unit.
- Use 6” round insulated duct for the inlet connection and uninsulated for the outlet. Minimize the use of elbows.
- Attach the unit to a suitable support. This model is small enough to be located between standard 16 spaced floor joists. Always allow a minimum 1/2” clearance above the heater. To simplify installation, attach the mounting bracket and then hook the top of the unit on the bracket and only screw in the bottom flange.
Electronic Controller
The THERMO-X-AIR unit features an electronic controller thatadjusts the heating capacity to the volume of air and shuts down the heater when there is no air flow. The minimum amount of air required (in cubic feet per minute) to operate the unit is given in the last column of the table on side 2 (CFM).
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the THERMO-X-AIR unit is properly installed according to the mechanical installation instructions provided.
- Connect a suitable power source to the unit. The unit isavailable in both 120V and 240V options.
- Set the desired temperature using the temperature set point adjuster on the unit.
- Monitor the airflow using the air flow sensor and ductsensor. Ensure that the minimum required air flow (CFM) ismaintained for proper operation.
- If an optional damper is installed, adjust it accordingly to control the airflow.
- Regularly clean the washable filter to ensure efficient operation and prevent dust buildup.
- In case of any issues or malfunctions, refer to the troubleshooting section of the user manual or contact THERMOLEC LTD. for assistance.
Installation instructions

Mechanical Installation.
- The direction of airflow is reversable by simply rotating the unit 180° in the horizontal position only. This is possible due to the automatic cutouts on the top and bottom of the unit.
- Do not install elbowscloser than 8 inches to the inlet or the outlet of the unit.
- Use 6” round insulated duct for the inlet connection and uninsulated for the outlet. Minimize the use of elbows.

Electrical Installation
NOTE: When the Room Control AND a current sensor is connected to the
D22-TFS the current sensor will take priority in switching on the unit.
- Please conform to all local and national electrical codes for wiring. The system should be supplied by a separate cable, of appropriate gauge, and with appropriate protection. Please refer to the following table.
- Install the one touch room control in an appropriate location on the wall according to the user’s choice.
- After installing and wiring the system, use the potentiometer to adjust the desired temperature and the fan speed control to adjust the air volume.
- A connection to drive simultaneously a 120VAC max. 3 amps. exhaust fan is supplied to be used if required.
