Battery Care
To prevent battery leakage:
- Be sure to insert batteries correctly and always follow the product and battery manufacturers’ instructions.
- Never mix old and new batteries (replace all batteries at the same time).
- Never mix Alkaline, Lithium, standard (Carbon Zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Always remove exhausted or dead batteries from the product.
- Remove batteries from product before extended storage.
- Do not short circuit the battery terminals.
- Batteries are to be inserted with correct polarity.
- Do not dispose of batteries in a fire, batteries may explode or leak.
- Do not allow water to come into contact with the batteries.
- Batteries may explode or leak if misused.
- Batteries should be installed by an adult only.
- Batteries should be removed from the item before disposal.
If this product can be operated using mains or via USB, ensure all batterles are completely removed before plugging In the mains or USB cable
For products using button cell batteries:
- Warning: Hazardous if swallowed.
- Button cell batteries can cause serious internal chemical burns if swallowed.
- Dispose of used batteries immediately.
- Keep new and used batteries away from children.
- If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
- If the battery compartment of a button cell battery does not close securely, stop using the productand keep it away from children.
Rechargeable batteries:
- Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
- Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the product before being charged (if removable).
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision (if removable).
