WEIGHT LIMITS
Not more than 165 ibs. (75kg) unless otherwise noted.
Check the Yakima Fitlist, or go to
infolookup.yakima.com/ for your roof’s weight
limit.
LONG LOADS
Any load extending over the windshield (except luggage boxes) must be secured
to both the front and rear of the vehicle, in addition to the rack. Failure to
do so can result in property damage, personal injury or death.
IMPROTANT WARNINGS
Rock Installation
inadequately secured loads and sncorrectly mounted roof racks and accessory
rocks con come loose during travel and cause serious accidents! Therefore,
installation, handling and use must be carried ‘out an accordance with product
and vehicle instructions. tn addition to these instructions, review the
mounting instructions for the roof rack and the operating instructions of the
vehicle.
These instructions should be kept together with the vehicle’s ‘Operating
instructions and carned in the vehscla when in use and on route.
For your own safety, you should only use roof racks thot are
‘Quthonzed for use with your vehicle.
For roof racks that do nat specify the distance between the front ‘and rear
crossbars, the distance shall be ot least 700 mm or as fargo as possible.
Please note that changes (6.9. addktional drill holes) to the accessory rock’s
atbachment system are not permessibte. Check attachment hordwore ond load for
tight fit ond function:
«Before the start of any journey.

+ At regular intervals on longer journeys.
+ More frequently on rough terrain.

Rock Loading
AST exceed the Mmoximwm load specified for the roof rack, accessory rack or
the mmamum load recommended by the vehicle monufacturer.

Load shall be uniformly cistributed with the lowest possible center of
gravity.
Load should not substantally extand beyond the leading surface of the roof
rack.

The accessory rack should be carefully cleaned and maintained, porticularty
dunng the winter months. Use only a solution of water ond standard car wash
liquid withaut any alcohol bleach or ammonium additives.
For reasons of fuel economy and the safety of ather road users, the accessory
rack and roof rack shauld be removed when not in use.
Periodically inspect accessory rack for damage. Replace lost.
damaged or warn parts. Use only original spore ports obtained from a stocking
specsolest, dooler or manufacturer.
Any changes made to the roof racks ond accessory racks as wall o¢ the use of
spore ports or accessories other thon those supplied by the manufacturer will
lead to the lapsing of the manufacturer’s warranty and liability for any
material damage or accidents. You
