Product Information

The product is a circuit breaker (Compact NSX100 to 630) used for electrical installations. It is available in different operating voltages (U) and can be equipped with various accessories such as interphase barriers, short terminal shields, and long terminal shields. The product ensures the safety of the electrical system by protecting against overloads and short circuits.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Installation Example:
    • Follow the safety clearances mentioned below for proper installation.
  2. Safety Clearances:
    • Minimum distance between two adjacent circuit breakers: A1
    • Minimum distance between circuit breaker and front or rear panels: F
    • Minimum distance between circuit breaker and top, bottom, or side panels: D1, D2, C1, D3
  3. Clearance between device and sheet metal:
Operating Voltage (U)| No Accessories| Short Terminal Shields| Interphase Barriers| Long Terminal Shields
    ---|---|---|---|---
    U < 440 V| 0 mm| 0 mm| 0 mm| 0 mm
    440 V ≤ U ≤ 500 V| 0 mm| 30 mm| 30 mm| 5 mm
    U > 500 V| 0 mm| 10 mm| 50 mm| 50 mm

Note: For U < 440 V, if F < 8 mm, an insulating screen or  long terminal shield is mandatory.

    1. Clearances with respect to live bare busbars:
      Operating Voltage (U)| Spacing y ≤ 60 mm| Spacing > 60 mm
      ---|---|---
      U < 440 V| 350 mm| 80 mm
      440 V ≤ U ≤ 500 V| 350 mm| 120 mm
      U > 500 V| Prohibited: Insulating screen required between
      device and busbars
  1. Special Installations:
The mentioned clearances can be reduced for special installations, but the configuration must be checked by tests.

Note: This information is based on Version 3.1 of the product manual dated 13/04/2016.
