Product Usage Instructions

Remove the front Tension-Compression Arms and press out the stock rubber bushing according to BMW’s recommended procedure.

Clean the bore with soap and scotch-brite until it is thoroughly clean and dry.

Apply a thin layer of Loctite 609 Retaining Compound (included in the kit) to the outer bore of the Dinan monoball carrier. Ensure that most of the surface is covered.

Slide the carrier into the bore in the arm with a slight turning motion to spread the Loctite around. It doesn’t matter from
which side of the arm you install the carrier, but it is preferred if both sides of the car are the same. The carrier should sit flush against the surface of the control arm. -
Install the Dinan retaining cap onto the arm, ensuring that the lip faces the control arm as shown. Apply a small amount of Loctite on the bolts and torque each to 95 inch-pounds to secure the retaining cap.

Install the Dinan bearing spacers as shown. These should fit snugly and may require a slight tap to fully seat.

Install the arms onto the car using the stock bolts and nuts (replace as necessary).

Torque the bolts according to BMW’s recommended procedure. Note that the monoball bolts must also be angle torqued as per BMW’s specification.

DO NOT WORK ON VEHICLES SUPPORTED BY A JACK ONLY. USE SECURE JACK STANDS!
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Remove the front Tension-Compression Arms, and press out the stock rubber bushing per BMW recommended procedure.

Measure the width of the control arm.
-
32mm wide arms use the M6 x 45 bolts for assembly.

36mm wide arms use the M6 x 50 bolts for assembly.

Clean out the bore with some soap and scotch-brite. The bore needs to be very clean and dry.

Apply a thin layer of Loctite 609 Retaining Compound (included in kit) to the outer bore of the Dinan monoball carrier. Use enough to cover most of the surface.

See figure below. Slide the carrier into the bore in the arm with a slight turning motion to further spread the Loctite around. It does not matter from which side of the arm you install the carrier, but it is preferred if both sides of the car were the same. The carrier shall sit flush against the surface of the control arm.

Install the Dinan retaining cap onto the arm (the lip must face the control arm as shown). Put a small amount of Loctite on the bolts and torque each to 95 inch-pounds to secure the retaining cap.

Install the Dinan bearing spacers as shown. These are intended to be a snug fit and may require a slight tap to seat fully.

Install the arms to the car using the stock bolts & nuts (replace as necessary).

Torque the bolts per BMW recommended procedure.
NOTE: The monoball bolts must also be angle torqued per BMW specification! -
