How to Power On/Off
- To power on, remove the earbuds from the case of hold the LED light area on each earbud for 3 seconds
- To power off, place the earbuds in the case of pause music then hold the LED light for 5 sec
- If the case is totally out of battery, the earbuds won’t turn off automatically
Pairing for the First Time

Remove any protective plastic from the bottom of the earbuds

Place the earbuds in the charging case until you see the battery symbol flash

Remove both earbuds from the charging case and they will automatically turn on and connect to each other

Go to the Bluetooth menu on your device and select “Back Bay Runner 40”

If your phone shows a Bluetooth Pairing Request, press “Pair”
If the earbuds don’t connect to each other, please follow the directions on the next page
Fixing a Connection Issue
- In your phone’s Bluetooth settings, find “Back Bay Runner 40” and click “Forget this Device” or “Un pair”
- Remove the earbuds from the case
- Pause music on your device, then turn the earbuds off by pressing and holding both buds for 5 seconds. The earbuds will say “Power Off”)
- Press and hold directly below the LED light on each earbud for 8 full seconds until a white light flashes 3 times quickly on each earbud
- Put the earbuds in the case and wait 10 seconds
- Remove the earbuds from the case and you should see “Back Bay Runner 40” in your phone’s Bluetooth menu
If you don’t see it in your Bluetooth menu, turn your phone’s Bluetooth off and on again 3
Bass Mode
To turn Bass Mode on, triple-tap the LED light area on the right earbud.
To turn Bass Mode off, triple-tap the LED light area on the right earbud
again.

Positioning
Place the earphone in your ear with the hook going over your ear. Rotate
the earbud until you find a comfortable position.

How to Charge
Charging the Earbuds
- Simply place the earbuds in the charging case (Make sure they are not wet)
- When the earbuds are charging, the battery symbol inside the case will flash
- When the earbuds are fully charged, the battery symbol in the case will stop flashing and will be solid white
- The case will recharge the earbuds 4 full times
Charging the Case
- Locate the USB-C cable included in the accessory box, and plug it into the back of the case
Do not use a charger that exceeds 5V 1A. Higher voltage may damage the battery.
Charging Status
The battery meter on the inside the case will tell you how full the battery in
the case is.
The LED on the outside of the case will shine red when the case is charging,
and the LED will turn off when the case is fully charged.
Helpful Charging Tips
- If the earbuds don’t turn off when you put them in the case, it means the case is fully out of battery and needs to be recharged.
- You can leave the charging case plugged in as long as you’d like and it won’t over-charge. We have designed the electronics to prevent over-charging.
