Let’s Shine Glitter Paint Sample Book
NOTE
Plan your work carefully to use up the prepared paint as soon as possible and
no later than within 24 hours.
Painting should be carried out at room and substrate temperatures > 5°C,
avoiding direct sunlight on the painted surface.
Always carry out a test before using the product on the main surface. The
effect achieved depends on many factors, such as: substrate preparation, tools
used, application technique. The manufacturer is not responsible for improper
use of the product.
It is recommended to decorate surfaces with products from one production
batch. Otherwise the contents of all packages should be mixed together in one
container.
The product should be stored in a tightly closed original container at 5 – 25
°C and out of the reach of children. Do not expose it to sunlight. Protect
from freezing.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The substrate should be clean, degreased, even, stable and uncracked.
Fresh cement and lime-cement plasters should be seasoned for at least 4 weeks.
Highly absorbent or not equally absorbent surfaces should be primed with a
suitable primer before applying Let’s Shine. We recommend our PRIMACOL®
DECORATIVE primer.
APPLICATION
After opening the Let’s shine bucket, stir the contents thoroughly.
Then, pour glitter into the bucket and carefully but gently mix again,
distributing the glitter evenly in the paint. Do not use a mechanical agitator
when mixing paint with the glitter – this will damage the glitter particles.
Apply a generous amount of paint on the roller and distribute it on the
substrate carefully and evenly, spreading the paint with vertical (up and
down)
movements. Use a microfibre medium-pile roller (11-13 mm) to paint large
areas.
Finish each section of the painted surface by moving the roller always in the
same direction.
Once you start painting, do not take breaks and avoid touch-ups on a semi-dry
surface.
Once the whole surface is finished, leave it to dry for about 4 hours.
After this time, apply a second coat in the same way as the first.
Once the painting is complete, let the wall/ceiling dry for about 12 hours.
The paint coat obtains full strength properties (washing and scrubbing
resistance) after 28 days.
