Manual Thermo Board
Thank you for choosing Ebeco. We wish you well when using your floor heating
system. We hope that you will use it and enjoy it for many years to come. For
the guarantee to be valid, the product must be installed and operated as
indicated in this manual.
This means it is extremely important that you read the manual.
Complete information on installation of the Thermoflex Kit/ Cable Kit can be
found in the manual that is supplied with each package. The Thermoflex
Kit/Cable Kit must be installed and handled as outlined in the manual. If you

Important
The Thermo Board can be used in both wet and dry areas on concrete and wooden
subfloors. Wooden subfloors must consist of glued and screwed floor
chipboards, and must
provide a stability that complies with applicable building and industry
regulations.
The system is intended for installation in normal residential areas that are
not exposed to extreme loads.
Recommended filler, adhesive and grout (Figure 1)
- Ebeco Primer + (8960550), Mapei Primer FR or
- Mapei Adesilex P4 (C2F) (8960184), Mapei Ultralite S2 Quick (C2FE/S2) or
- Mapei Uniplan Eco, Mapei Uniplan Eco TDR or similar self-levelling filler*.
- Laying the tiles: Mapei Adesilex P4 (C2F) (8960184), Mapei Ultralite S2 Quick (C2FE/S2), Mapei Keraflex (C2TE) or
- Grouting: Mapei Ultracolor Plus or similar (type CG2WA grout).
Please note the following before beginning

The floor must be clean, level and free from any of the
old floor covering. Any hollows must be filled. The Thermo Boards must be completely in contact with the floor. -
The Thermo Board must be laid over the entire floor area, even under fixed units where the heating cable is not to be

Installing the Ebeco Thermo Board
Plan how to lay the boards and follow the instructions in the “Please note the
following before beginning” section.
Wet areas (Figure 2) Thermo Board boards are cut 10 mm from the edge of
floor drains. The height of the floor drain must be adjusted, either by
raising the drain or fitting
a suitable extension unit. Inclines are filled in after the Thermo Board and
Cable Kit/Thermoflex Kit have been installed. If there is already an incline,
cut the boards so that they follow the slope and are in complete contact with
the subfloor.
(Figure 3) Cut out a channel for the flexible floor conduit connected to the sensor for the floor heating thermostat. Cut entirely through the board and at the same width as the conduit.
(Figure 4) Remove the boards. Prime the floor and allow it to dry. Apply the adhesive using an 8-10 mm serrated spreader.

Installing the Cable Kit Filling and laying tiles
Thermoflex Kit Apply a filler to the floor. If the cable sticks up
