What’s in the Box?
Safety
- Risk of injury! Primary batteries can burst while charging. Charge only Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, no primary batteries.
- Integrated safety shutdown control, minus delta-V cut-oˆ function and temperature control function.
- A heating of rechargeable batteries while charging is usual.
- Never charge corroded, damaged or leaking rechargeable batteries.
- Do not open, throw into …re or short-circuit rechargeable batteries.
- In case of damages/failure contact a VARTA dealer.
How to use the charger
Fig. 2 Charger can be used worldwide. Where necessary, use a country-
specific adapter. Attach cable.
Fig. 3: Insert rechargeable batteries of the same size and capacity
pairwise. Both contacts of the battery must be connected.
Fig. 4 : State of charge is indicated after 10 seconds.
- a) rolling bars = charging in progress.
- b) solid bars = batteries are charged.
- c) no bars = fault: defective/wrong battery.
- d) no symbol = fault: no contact, wrong polarity, no batteries inserted. Charging control function protects the batteries from overcharging. Remove the batteries when the charger is unplugged.

To avoid environmental and health problems due to hazardous substances in electrical and electronic goods, appliances marked with this symbol mustn’t be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste, but recovered, reused, or recycled. For further information on recycling please contact your local city council.
