WORK AREA

  • Keep your work area clean and well lit. Cluttered benches and dark areas invite accidents.
  • Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
  • Keep bystanders, children, and visitors away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

  • Don’t expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.

PERSO NAL SAFETY

  • Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
  • Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
  • Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is off before plugging in. Carrying tools with your finger on the switch or pluggingin tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
  • Remove adjusting keys or wrenches before turning the tool on. A wrench or a key that is left attached to a rotating part of the tool may result in personal injury.
  • Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enables better control of the tool in unexpected situations.
  • Use safety equipment . Always wear eye protection. Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection must beused for appropriate conditions.

TOOL USE AND CARE

  • Use clamps or other practical way to secure and support the work piece to a stable platform. Holding the work by hand oragainst your body is unstable and may lead to loss of control.
  • Do not force tool. Use the correct tool for your application. The correct tool will do the job better at the rate for which it is designed.
  • Do not use tool if switch does not turn it on or off. Any tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
  • Store idle tools out of reach of children and other untrained persons. Tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
  • Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, break- age of parts, and any other condition that may affect the tool’s operation. If damaged, have the tool serviced before using. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
  • Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer for your model. Accessories that may be suitablefor one tool, may become hazardous when used on another tool.

SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING! Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an operation where the fastener may contact hidden wiring. Fasteners contacting a ”live”wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool ”live” and could give the operator an electric shock.

  • Inserting/ Removing the Battery To insert the battery , slide the pack into the body of the tool. Make sure it latches securely into place.

  • To remove the battery, push in the release buttons and pull the battery pack away from the tool.

  • Attaching and Removing Accessories
    These tools are intended only for use with accessories designed for impact tools. Other sockets could shatter or break, causing injury.To attach a socket or other accessory,align the accessory with the drive anvil and push it firmly onto the tool. To remove the accessory, pull the accessory off the drive anvil.

  • Using the Forward/Reverse Toggle For forward (clockwise)rotation , Forward rotate the forward/reverse toggle counterclockwise. Check the direction of rotation before use.

  • For reverse (counterclockwise) rotation , rotate the forward/reverse toggle clockwise.Check the Reverse direction of rotation before use.

  • Starting, Stopping and Controlling Speed
    To start the tool,pull the paddle switch. NOTE: An LED is turned on when the switch is pulled. The tool will shut off automatically when maximum torque is reached.

  • To vary the driving speed , increase or decrease pressure on the switch. The further the switch is pulled, the greater the speed.

Lock Switch
To lock the paddle switch, slide the lock switch down to the paddle to reach locked position.
To unlock the paddle switch, slide the lock switch up to the unlocked position. The paddle switch will not work when the lock switch is in the locked position.

WARNING! Always lock the paddle switch or remove the battery pack before performing maintenance, changing accessories, storing the tool and any time the tool is not in use.

FUALGAUGE
KIMO power ratchet wrench include a fuel gauge which consists of three LED lights that indicate the level of charge remaining in the battery pack. The fuel gauge is an indication of approximate levels of charge remaining in the battery pack according to the following indicators:KIMO-3302-12V-Cordless-

Charge Battery
To Charge the battery, align the battery pack with the bay and slide the battery pack into the charger as far as possible. The red light will come on, either flashing (battery pack is too hot or cold) or continuous (pack is charging). A fully discharged battery pack with an internal temperature in the normal range will charge in 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the battery pack and charger.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR BATTERY CARTRIDGE

  • Before using battery cartridge, read all instructions and cautionary markings on (1) battery charger, (2) battery, and (3) product using battery.
  • Do not disassemble battery cartridge.
  • If operating time has become excessively shorter, stop operating immediately. It may result in a risk of overheating, possible burns and even an explosion.
  • If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse them out with clear water andseek medical attention right away. It may result in loss of your eyesight.
  • Do not short the battery cartridge:
    1.  Do not touch the terminals with any conductive material.
    2.  Avoid storing battery cartridge in a container with other metal objects such as nails, coins, etc.
    3.  Do not expose battery cartridge to water or rain.

A battery short can cause a large current flow, overheating, possible burns and even a breakdown.

  • If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse them out with clear water andseek medical attention right away. It may result in loss of your eyesight.
  • Do not store the tool and battery cartridge in locations where the temperature° may reach or exceed 122 F.
  • Do not incinerate the battery cartridge even if it is severely damaged or is completely worn out. The battery cartridge can explode in a fire.
  • Be careful not to drop or strike battery.
  • Do not use a damaged battery.

WARRANTY

Follow your local regulations relating to disposal of battery.
Every KIMO power tool is warranted to the original purchaser only to be free from defects in material and workmanship . Subject to certain exceptions, KIMO will replace any part on an electric power tool that is defective in material or workmanship for a period of 2 years after the date of purchase unless otherwise noted. This warranty does not apply to damage from repairs made or attempted by anyone other than KIMO, misuse, alterations, abuse, normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or accidents.
Normal Wear: Many power tools need periodic parts replacement and service to achieve best performance. This warranty does not cover repair when normal use has exhausted the life of a part including, but not limited to , chucks , brushes, cords , saw shoes , blade clamps, a-rings, seals and driver blades. Warranty Registration is not necessary to obtain the applicable warranty on a KIMO power tool product. This warranty applies to product sold in the U.S.A. only.
