Switchcraft 982A06R Miniature Keyboard Switches
Product Information
- The product is a series of miniature keyboard switches manufactured by IBS. The specific model is the Series 98000R. The switches have a momentary plunger travel of 0.144 inch (3.66 mm) and an actuation force of 15 ounces (34-0425 grams). They are designed for 1 million operations.
- The switches are UL approved at 0.25 A @ 28V DC and 0.125 A @ 125V AC. The housing is made of molded thermoplastic UL 9-40V, and the plunger is also made of molded thermoplastic UL 9-40V. The contactors are made of copper alloy, and the terminals are made of copper alloy with gold-plated contact surfaces.
- The switches have PC terminals that are 0.157 inch (4 mm) long, suitable for mounting on one-sided PC boards up to 0.094 inch (2.4 mm) thick. They can be mounted in rows or arrays with a minimum center spacing of 0.394 inch (10 mm). Special order options include switches with longer terminals (0.394 inch/10 mm) and different circuit configurations (1B, 2A, or 2B).

SERIES 98000R
Momentary IBS switches provide cost-effective versatility for a wide range of electrical/electronic applications including switching analog and digital signals in business systems, public address, test instruments, medical, EDP (computer), input devices and peripheral equipment, local area network, telecommunication, digital transmission equipment, telephone systems and attachments and calculators. Convenient modular design allows quick assembly to PC boards. These switches are also available in multiple station assemblies (see page 322).

MOUNTING
Switches have .157 inch (4 mm) long PC terminals for mounting on single- or
double-sided PC boards up to .094
inch (2.4 mm) thick on 0.394 inch (10 mm) minimum centers in rows or arrays.
0.394 inch (10 mm) PC terminals available on special order. Rugged molded-in
standoff legs provide stable mounting and clearance for PC board cleaning.
