Dear Customer,
Thank You for purchasing a CENTEK brand product. We guarantee flawless function of this item, provided the guidelines of its operation are observed.
PURPOSE OF THE APPLIANCE: for quick food heating by microwave radiation. This appliance is designed for use in domestic and similar applications, in particular

  • in personnel kitchen zones at stores, offices and industrial facilities;
  • at agricultural farms;
  • by clients at hotels, motels and other residential facilities;
  • in private boarding houses.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The following requirements should be strictly observed in order to avoid situations hazardous for human life and health, as well as premature failures of the appliance:

  1. Before connecting the appliance to the power supply grid, ensure that its specifications correspond to the nominal voltage of the appliance. Do not use socket adapters as these may be the cause of a fire.
  2. Do not use accessories and spare parts other than supplied by the Manufacturer. If such parts are used the Manufacturer’s warranty will become void.
  3. Do not operate the appliance if its power cable, plug and other parts are damaged.
  4. In case of power cable damage it should be replaced, to avoid dangerous situations, by the Manufacturer, a service centre or similar skilled personnel.
  5. A slight unpleasant odor may occur during the first use; it will disappear after using the appliance several times and is caused by eventual residues of lubricants and other substances on internal surfaces and on heating elements. We recommend heating up a cup of water several times before the first use.
  6. The appliance should be installed in such a way that there is a gap between it and other objects.
  7. Do not obstruct the ventilation openings to avoid overheating.
  8. Do not use the appliance if the door latches are not operational.
  9. After use disconnect the plug from the electric socket and ensure that it is not placed directly on the appliance, near sources of fire or water.
  10. The appliance contains a UHF wave emitter which can only be set up by a skilled technician, therefore do not open the lids or otherwise breech the integrity of the unit’s housing.
  11. The appliance should not be used by physically, sensory or mentally handicapped persons (including children) or by persons without sufficient experience or knowledge, unless such persons are under supervision, or have been instructed on the use of the appliance, by the persons responsible for their safety. Take precautions not to let children play with the appliance.
  12. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
  13. Do not heat fats and oils as their temperature is difficult to control.
  14. After use wipe its surface with dry or damp cloth to remove drops of fat and food residues. Drops of fat may cause smoke to appear and even lead to ignition.
  15. Use large diameter vessels to boil water and do not fill them to the top to avoid splashing. Do not use narrow-necked utensils.
  16. Remove the peel from potatoes and sausages or pierce it with a fork
  17. The light inside the chamber is provided for illuminating the food and is not designed for other purposes (room lighting, etc.).
  18. Do not use metal containers and utensils with metal components.
  19. Containers may get very hot during cooking. Use special mitts to remove containers. Be careful when opening the container, there is a risk of hot steam discharge.
  20. Open popcorn packets and roasting bags carefully, holding them at a distance from your face.
  21. The device is not designed to operate from an external timer or a separate remote control system.
  22. This model is intended for use as a stand-alone. Do not embed or use in the closet!
  23. Use only utensils designed for microwave ovens.
  24. Do not heat foods and liquids in tightly sealed containers as they can explode!
  25. The microwave oven is designed for heating food and beverages. Drying food or clothing and heating mats, slippers, sponges, wet clothes and similar things can lead to injury, ignition and fire.
  26. If smoke occurs, turn the appliance off and disconnect it from power supply.
  27. Liquids may get overheated in the microwave oven, i.e. heated above the boiling point, however without actual boiling. Sudden and violent boiling can occur after you have removed the vessel from the oven.
  28. Be careful when heating up baby food. Check temperature of baby food before feeding.
  29. Do not heat or cook eggs in shells. They can explode even after the unit has stopped heating up.
  30. Regularly clean the seals of doors, chambers and adjacent parts. Insufficient cleanliness of the furnace can lead to damage to the surface and to a dangerous situation.
  31. The oven should be cleaned regularly, any food residues should be removed.
  32. Untimely cleaning of the furnace may damage the surface, reduce the service life of the device, and may also lead to danger.
  33. Special requirements for transport (shipment) or sale: none.
  34. Should You decide to transfer the appliance to another person, please pass the present manual over along with it.

WARNING! If the door or door seals are damaged, the oven must not be switched on until it has been repaired by a qualified technician.
WARNING! It is dangerous for any person, except a qualified specialist, to perform any maintenance or repair actions related to removing the cover that protects against exposure to microwave energy.
WARNING! Liquids and other food products should not be heated in sealed containers, as they may explode.

OPERATING PROCEDURE

PREPARATION

  • Remove the microwave oven from the packaging.
  • Check the appliance for damage paying particular attention to oven door functionality (in case of any damage apply to an authorized cervice centre).
  • Place the microwave oven on a dry corrosion-resistant surface.
  • Install the oven so that there is a gap of at least 10 cm between its rear surface and the nearest wall and at least 20 cm between sides and nearest walls. The free space above the oven should be at least 30 cm.
  • Free access of air to the oven should be provided from all sides for adequate ventilation.
  • The oven should be located at least 5 m away from TV sets, radios and antennae to avoid interference.
  • Do not install a microwave oven in a cabinet.
  • Install the oven so that its rear side faces the wall.

CLOCK SETTING

  1. Press the “Clock” button, «00:00» will appear on the display.
  2. Enter the current time by pressing the numeric buttons. E.g., it is now 12:10 – press «1,2,1,0» consecutively.
  3. Press the “Clock” button to complete clock setting.
  4. If the entered time value is outside range of 1:00 to 23:59, the setting will remain invalid until the correct numbers are entered.

KITCHEN TIMER

  1. Press the “Kitchen timer” button. “00:00” will appear on the display, de 1st hour digit will flash.
  2. Use the numeric buttons to set the timer. (The maximum value is 99:99).
  3. Press “STARTI+30 sec” button to confirm the setting.
  4. When the set time is over an audio signal will sound 5 times.
    Note: You cannot set any program while the timer is operating.

COOKING IN THE MICROWAVE OVEN

  1. Press “Cooking time” once, “00:00” will appear on the display.
  2. Use the numeric buttons, to enter the cooking time. (The maximum value is 99:99).
  3. Press «Power Level» once, «PL10» will appear on the display. The default power level is 100%. You can now adjust the power level within the range of PL10 to PL 0 by pressing the numeric buttons.
  4. Press “STARTI+30 sec” button to start cooking.

FAST COOKING

  1. In standby mode you can start the function of fast cooking at 100% power by selecting the cooking time from 1 to 6 minutes by pressing the numeric keys from 1 to 6. Press «STARTJ+30 sec» to increase the cooking time; the maximum cooking time is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
  2. In standby mode you can press the «START/30 sec» button to start the instant cooking function to cook food at 100% power for 30 seconds. Each subsequent pressing of the same button will increase the cooking time by 30 seconds; the maximum cooking time is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
    Note: the cooking and defrosting time can be extended by pressing the «STARTI+30 sec» button.

DEFROSTING BY WEIGHT

  1. Press the «Weight Defrost» button: «dEF1» will appear on the display.
  2. Use the numeric buttons to enter the weight of the food to be defrosted, within the range of 100 to 2000 grams.
  3. Press «STARTI+30 sec» to start the defrosting, the remaining defrosting time will be displayed.

DEFROSTING BY TIME

  1. Press «Time Defrost», «dEF2» will appear on the display.
  2. Use the numeric buttons to enter the defrosting time. (The maximum value is 99:99).
  3. The default power output of the microwave oven is equal to Level 3. If you wish to change the output level, press «Power Level» once, «PL 3» will appear on the display, then press the numeric key for the desired power level.
  4. Press «STARTJ+30 sec» to start the defrosting. The remaining defrosting time will be displayed.

POPCORN

  1. Press the «Popcorn» button repeatedly until the desired number, «50» or «100», appears on the display. Press «Popcorn» once, «50» will appear on the display. Keep pressing the button until the desired number appears on the display; «50» and «100» will be displayed intermittently.
  2. Press «STARTI+30 sec» to start making popcorn. The audio signal will sound once. When the preparation is over the audio signal will sound 5 times and the microwave oven will return to standby mode.

Important information on the popcorn making function of the microwave oven:

If 100 g of popcorn is selected, it is recommended to fold each corner of the popcorn pack in a triangular pattern, as shown in the figure.|

If the popcorn pack expands and stops rotating properly, please press the button once, open the oven door and adjust the position of the pack so that it can rotate and the popcorn is made properly.|

POTATOES

  1. Press the «Potato» button repeatedly until the desired number, «1»,»2» or «3» appears on the display.
    • «1»:1 potato (approximately 230 grams)
    • «2»: 2 potatoes (approximately 460 grams)
    • «3)Y. 3 potatoes (approximately 690 grams) E.g., press «Potato» once, «1» will appear on the display.

  2. Press «STARTI+30 sec» to start cooking. The audio signal will sound once. When the preparation is over the audio signal will sound 5 times and the microwave oven will return to standby mode.

FROZEN VEGETABLES

  1. Press the «Frozen Vegetables» button once; «150» (weight in grams) will appear on the display. Press the “Frozen Vegetables” button repeatedly until the desired weight, «150»,»350» or «500» appears on the display.
  2. Press the «STARTI+30 sec» button to start cooking. The audio signal will sound once. When the preparation is over the audio signal will sound 5 times and the microwave oven will return to standby mode.

BEVERAGES

  1. Press the «Beverage» button once; «1» will appear on the display. The volume of a single cup is approximately 120 ml. Press the “Beverage” button repeatedly until the desired number of cups, «1», «2» or «3» appears on the display.
  2. Press «STAR-11+30 sec» button to start cooking. The audio signal will sound once. When the preparation is over the audio signal will sound 5 times and the microwave oven will return to standby mode.

DINNER PLATE

  1. Press the «Dinner Plate» button. «250» (weight in grams) will appear on the display. Press the button repeatedly until the desired weight, «250», «350» or «500», appears on the display.
  2. Press «START1+30 sec» button to start cooking. The audio signal will sound once. When the preparation is over the audio signal will sound 5 times and the microwave oven will return to standby mode.

PIZZA

  1. Press the «Pizza» button once; «100» will appear on the display. Press the button repeatedly until the desired weight, «100», «200» or «400», appears on the display.
  2. Press «STAR-11+30 sec» button to start cooking. The audio signal will sound once. When the preparation is over the audio signal will sound 5 times and the microwave oven will return to standby mode.

MEMORY FUNCTION

  1. Press «0/MEMORY» to select the program number. The digits 1, 2 or 3 will appear on the display.
  2. If a program has been set up, press the «START/+30 sec» button. If not, proceed to set up the program. Only one or two cooking stages can be set up in a program.
  3. After completing the setup, press «START1+30 sec» button once to save the program and return to standby mode. If the «START/4.30 sec» button is pressed once again the dish will start to cook.

Example: You wish to program a cooking pattern under the preset number 2. In order to cook a dish at 80% power for 3 minutes and 20 second, you should:

  • In standby mode, press the «0/MEMORY» button twice, so that «2» appears on the display.
  • Press the «Cooking time» button once, then press the «3»,»2» and «0» buttons consecutively.
  • Press the «Power level» button once; «PL10» will appear on the display, then press «8», the display will show «PL8».
  • Press the «START/4.30 sec» button to save the settings. The setting will be confirmed by an audio signal, whereupon the microwave oven will switch to standby mode. If the «START/4.30 sec» is pressed again, the program will start to be executed.
  • The program will be stored until the microwave oven is disconnected from power supply.
  • If you wish to start a stored program, in standby mode press the «0/ MEMORY» button; «2» will appear on the display, then Press «START/+30 sec» button to start operation.

MULTI-STAGE COOKING
You can set up a maximum of 2 stages for cooking. If one stage in a multi- stage cooking process is the defrosting, it will by default be automatically moved to the first stage.
Note: Automatic cooking cannot be activated for multistage cooking.
Example: If you wish to cook at 80% power for 5 minutes in the first stage and at 60% power for 10 minutes, proceed as follows:

  1. Press the «Cooking time» button once, then press the «5», «0» and «0» buttons consecutively to set the time;
  2. Press the «Power level» button once; then press «8» to set the power level of the microwave oven to 80%.
  3. Press the «Cooking time» button once, then press the «1», «0»,»0» and «0» buttons consecutively to set the time;
  4. Press the «Power level» button once; then press «6» to set the power level of the microwave oven to 60%. 5. Press «START/+30 sec» button to start cooking.

QUERY FUNCTION
In the cooking mode press «Clock» the current time will be displayed for three seconds.
CHILD LOCK
This function locks the microwave oven to prevent unauthorized operation.
When the microwave oven is connected to power supply and is in standby mode, the child lock function is deactivated by default.
Locking: In standby mode press and hold «STOP/CANCEL» for 3 seconds; a long audio signal will be emitted to indicate activation of the child lock function; will appear on the display.
Unlocking: With the appliance locked press and hold the «STOP/CANCEL» for 3 seconds; a long audio signal will be emitted to indicate deactivation of the child lock function.
COOKING END REMINDER FUNCTION
Upon completion of the cooking the unit will emit 5 audio signals to notify the user of cooking completion.

MAINTENANCE

  • Disconnect the power cable from the power socket.
  • Wash the microwave oven regularly, remove all food residues, fat and other contaminants.
  • Use only mild non-abrasive detergents, sponges or soft cloth to clean the door, housing, door glass and inner walls of the chamber. Do not use hard sponges and brushes with metallic particles. These can scratch the surface of the appliance. Non-observance of this requirement can cause a reduction of the unit’s service life.
  • Do not remove the microwave emitter shield.

The service life of this item is 5 years since the date of sale to the end user, provided the item will be used in strict accordance with the present manual and the applicable technical standards. Upon expiry of the service life please contact the nearest authorized service centre for suggestions as to further operation of the appliance. GUARANTEE MMNTENANCE TERMS

  1. The guarantee shall be valid if the following documentation conditions are observed:
    – The original Warranty Card shall be filled out correctly and clearly, indicating the of appliance model, serial number and sale date, the stamp of the seller company and signature of its representative shall be available, as well as the stamps on each coupon and the buyer’s signature in the Warranty Card. The Manufacturer reserves the right to reject guarantee maintenance if the buyer fails to provide the abovementioned documents or if the information contained therein is incomplete, illegible or ambiguous.

  2. The guarantee shall be valid if the following operation conditions are observed:
    – the appliance is used in strict accordance with the present manual;
    – the safety rules and requirements are observed.

  3. The guarantee does not apply to regular maintenance, cleaning, installation and setup of the appliance at the owner’s location.

  4. The guarantee does not apply in the following cases:
    – mechanical damage;
    – normal wear of the appliance;
    – non-observance of operation requirements or erroneous actions on the part of the user,
    – improper installation or transportation;
    – natural disasters (lightning, fire, flood, etc.), as well as any other causes beyond the Manufacturer’s or Seller’s control;
    – ingress of foreign objects, liquids or insects into the inside of the appliance;
    – repairs or modifications to the appliance by unauthorized persons;
    – use of the appliance for commercial purposes (loads exceeding normal domestic application), connection of the appliance to utility and telecommunication networks incompliant with national technical standards;
    – failure of the following accessories, if replacement of these is allowed by design and does not involve disassembly of the appliance:
    a) remote control units, rechargeable batteries, replaceable batteries (power cells), external power supply units and chargers;
    b) consumables and accessories (packaging, covers, slings, carry bags, mesh screens, blades, flasks, plates, supports, grilles, spits, hoses, tubes, brushes, nozzles, dust collectors, filters, smell absorbers);
    – for battery-powered appliances – operation with inappropriate or depleted batteries;
    – for rechargeable battery-powered appliances
    – any damage caused by improper battery charging and recharging.

  5. The present guarantee is provided by the Manufacturer in addition to the consumer rights determined by the applicable legislation and does not limit these rights in any way.

  6. The Manufacturer shall not be made liable for possible damage, directly or indirectly inflicted by CENTEK brand products on people, domestic animals, the consumer’s or third persons’ property if such damage is inflicted as the result of non-observance of appliance installation and operation requirements, deliberate or negligent actions (omission) by the consumer or third persons, as well as of force majeure circumstances.

  7. Service centers will only accept appliances in a clean state (there should be no food residues, dust and other contamination on the appliance).

The Manufacturer reserves the right to change the design and specifications of the appliance without prior notice.
