SYLVANIA SMART+ Bluetooth Full Color and Tunable Bulb

Product Information

The SYLVANIA Smart Home app is a companion app that allows you to control your SYLVANIA SMART+ devices. It is available for download from both the Google Play store and the Apple app store. The app enables you to connect and control your SYLVANIA SMART+ devices through various smart speakers, including Alexa and Google Home.

Product Usage Instructions

For Alexa Smart Speaker

1. Download the SYLVANIA Smart Home app from the Google Play store or Apple app store.
2. Make sure your Alexa smart speaker is turned on and in close proximity to the device.
3. Turn on the power to the SYLVANIA SMART+ device.
4. Open the SYLVANIA Smart Home app and tap ‘Amazon Alexa’.
5. Follow the app’s on-screen instructions to enable/update the device firmware.
6. Set up your device by saying ‘Alexa discover devices’ or tap ‘Take me to Alexa App’.

For Google Smart Speaker

1. Download the SYLVANIA Smart Home app from the Google Play store or Apple app store.
2. Make sure your Google smart speaker is turned on and in close proximity to the device.
3. Turn on the power to the SYLVANIA SMART+ device.
4. Open the SYLVANIA Smart Home app and tap ‘Google Home’.
5. Follow the app’s on-screen instructions to enable/update the device firmware.
6. Tap ‘Take me to Google Home App’.
7. Tap ‘+’ (top left corner), then tap ‘Set up device’.
8. Tap ‘New devices’ and follow the on-screen instructions.

No Smart Speaker (App Control Only)

1. Turn on the power to the SYLVANIA SMART+ device.
2. Open the SYLVANIA Smart Home app and tap ‘Press Here’ for No Smart Speaker.
3. Log into an existing account or sign up for a new account.
4. Follow the app’s on-screen instructions to add a device.

Works with alexa

1. Download the SYLVANIA Smart Home app from the Google Play store or Apple app store.
2. Make sure your Alexa smart speaker is turned on and in close proximity to the device.
3. Turn on the power to the SYLVANIA SMART+ device.
4. Open the SYLVANIA Smart Home app and tap ‘Amazon Alexa’
5. Follow the app on-screen instructions to enable/update the device’s rmware.
6. Set up your device by saying ‘Alexa discover devices’ or tapping ‘Take me to Alexa App’.

Works with Hey Google

1. Download the SYLVANIA Smart Home app from the Google Play store or Apple app store.
2. Make sure your Google smart speaker is turned on and in close proximity to the device.
3. Turn on the power to the SYLVANIA SMART+ device.
4. Open the SYLVANIA Smart Home app and tap ‘Google Home’.
5. Follow the app on-screen instructions to enable/update the device rmware.
6. Tap ‘Take me to Google Home App’.
7. Tap ‘+’ (top left corner), then tap ‘Set up device’.
8. Tap ‘New devices’ and follow the on-screen instructions.

No Smart Speaker

1. Download the SYLVANIA Smart Home app from the Google Play store or Apple app store.
2. Turn on the power to the SYLVANIA SMART+ device.
3. Open the SYLVANIA Smart Home app and tap ‘Press Here’ for No Smart Speaker.
4. Log into an existing account or sign up for a new account.
5. Follow the app on-screen instructions to add a device.

Resetting your light to pairing mode

Power on and off the bulb 5 times.
Once reset, a color bulb will cycle through different colors and stop at white. For non-color bulbs, it will only cycle through white colors.
Notes:

• If your device shows as ‘unresponsive’ in the Alexa app, the power cycle (off & on) of your Echo device may help bring the device back online.
• If you are logged into the Sylvania Smart Home app, you must log out to access the firmware update feature for the smart home speaker.
• For the best user experience, we recommend you use the SYLVANIA SMART+ Bluetooth
• Mesh device with a smart home speaker and its respective app. The SYLVANIA Smart Home app is only for a firmware update or if you do not have a smart speaker.
