If not used in accordance with this manual, this equipment may cause harm to people. Operating procedures and cautions are written to prevent accidents. For your safety, read and follow these instructions. Please retain this manual for future references. This product is designed with safety in mind. However, improper operations may cause injuries and/or damage to equipment.

Caution
Injury may happen if the guidelines are not followed.
- Do not exceed the maximum capacity. The maximum load capacity of the LX-ePed pedestal is 10kg. Exceeding the load capacity may cause personal injury and/or damage to equipment. Note, even if the load capacity is not exceeded, the pedestal could still be unstable depending on the environment, the height of the equipment, o the center of gravity’s position. Be mindful while operating the pedestal.
- Do not dismantle or modiz Dismantling and modifying the equipment may inflict injury to self or others, and may lead to defects. Do not operate when the equipment is out of order; contact the dealer or our customer service for repair. ® The supplied AC/DC adapter can be only used for the LX-ePed and must not be used with other equipment. Do not operate the LX-cPed with other than the supplied AC/DC adapter.
- Cautions when connecting the LAN Cable. #To prevent serious accidents due to misconnection, please strictly follow the instructions below. * Do not connect the LAN Cable attached to the Main Unit to other devices than the Controller. Also, do not connect the LAN Cable attached to the Controller to other devices than the Main Unit.
- Do not connect the LAN Cable attached to any device to the Main Unit or the Controller.
- When using the LAN Cable. Do not pull or apply force on to the LAN Cable when connected 1o the product or it may cause damage to the cable. – Hold the Connector when connecting or disconnecting the LAN Cable.
- Press and hold the Lock of the Connector while disconnecting the LAN Cable.
- The LX-ePed/LX-ePed Studio is not waterproof. Avoid having any contact with liquids or cleaners when using this product. Use a soft dry cloth to clean the equipment.
- Do not use incompatible components. Please use this product as intended.
Precaution before use
- Lock levers and knobs should be tightened securely. Iflock levers and knobs are not tightened securely, they may become loose or come off, resulting in damage to the camera or personal injury.
- Plugs and codes should be used properly. 3# Failure to follow these precautions may cause an electric shock, short circuit, or result in a fire. * Wipe plugs frequently with a dry cloth.
- Plugs covered in dust may result in electrical insulation failure and/or fire. – Insert plugs completely into outlets to prevent any contact between plug prongs and metallic objects such as paper clips.
- Do not alter, damage, expose to heat sources, bend, twist, pull, or bundle the cord. + Do not pull, pinch, or place heavy objects on the cords.
- Do not use damaged cords and loose outlets. – Do not plug or unplug the cord with wet hands.
- Continuous operating time: 3 minutes 6 minutes or longer intervals are required after continuously operating for 3 minutes.

How to carry the Main Unit
- B1: Be sure to remove the camera.
- B2 : Make sure the Tripod Legs are closed when carrying the Main Unit.
B1. Be careful not to put your hands between the Lower Column and the Tripod Legs while carrying the B2. Main Unit or opening/closing the legs. 82 Be sure to grab the Grip wHen carrying the Main Unit,
How to use the Binding Strap

Undo: To spread out the Tripod Legs, undo the hook that binds the legs. The Binding Strap will automatically retract to its original position. Pull out: To secure the Tripod Legs,

pull down the hook of the Binding Strap.

Bundle the 3 Tripod Legs: Strap the legs together.
Setting up the LX-ePed/LX-ePed Studio
- Refer to either “D-1” or “D-2” depending on the product LTLIEEL, you purchased.
D1 :Attaching the SP-2B (Floor Spreader) to the Main Unit: LX -e Pad
Setting and operating the SP-2B, please refer to the SP-2B’s instruction
manual.
D2:Attaching the Main Unit onto the DL-3RB (Dolly) :

Extended Tripod Legs reduced the unit’s stability.

D3:Adjusting the length of the Tripod Legs
For your safety, at least two people are required when adjusting the
length of the Tripod Legs to the DL-3RB (Dolly) or the SP-2B (Floor Spreader).
- Attempting to forcefully tum the Lock Knob beyond its limit will result in damage.
- Be sure that all of the Lock Knobs are in the fully locked position before mounting the camera.
- If any of these Lock Knobs is not in the fully locked = . position, it may cause the tripod to collapse resulting in personal Injury your damage to equipment.

Loosen S the Upper Lock Knobs S and pull out the Tripod Legs. s.

After adjusting the Length of the Tripod legs, firmly tighten all the Upper Lock Knobs.

To raise it even higher, loosen the Lower Lock Knobs and extend the lower Tripod Legs.

After adjusting the length of the Tripod Legs, firmly tighten all the Lower Lock Knobs.

When the indicator of the Lock Knob is aligned with the indicator of the Tripod Leg, the leg is properly secured.

Repeat step (1—-2—3—4 ) to adjust the length of the Tripod Legs to place the air bubble in the Level inside the circle.
Attaching the remote camera/head
- Select either “E-1” or “E-2” depending on the usage.
E1:When attaching a remote camera
- Loosen the Bowl Clamp and remove the BL-F (Flat Base Adapter).
- Securely attach the BL-F to the remote camera.
- Attach the remote camera with the BL-F to the Head Mounting Platform.
- Be sure to firmly tighten the Bowl Clamp.
When attaching a video head
- Loosen the Bowl Clamp and remove the BL-F (Flat Base Adapter).
- Attach the video head to the Head Mounting Platform.
- Level the video head.
- Be sure to firmly tighten the Bowl Clamp.
Connecting the power source/Controller

F1 : Connecting the AC/DC Adapter
CAUTION: Only use the supplied AC/DC Adapter. ABMROACDC 575~ LA SRR ) 1 Connect the AC/DC- Adapter plug to the DC Port of the Mai Unit. Be sure that the plug is firmly inserted.
- Connect the AC/DC Adapter to a power outlet.
F-2 Connecting the VM-12V (V-mount Battery Adapter)
By using the VM-12V (V-mount Battery Adapter)

CAUTION: Only use the supplied Conversion Cable.- Fixing Strap. 2 Connect the Conversion Cable to the VM-12V. 3
- Connect the Conversion Cable to the DC Port of the Main Unit 4
- Attach your V-mount battery to the VM-12V.
F3:Connecting the Controller
- Connect the LAN Cable to the LAN Port of the Main Unit. Insert the cable with the Lock facing down until it clicks.
- Connect the LAN Cable to the Controller. I with the Lock facing up until it clicks.
- The LED will light up when properly connected
- To disconnect the LAN Cable, pull out the cable while pressing down on the Lock.
Operating the pedestal
- Use the Elevation Control Rocker to elevate the Upper Column.
- To move the Upper Column upward, tilt the Elevation Control Rocker to the right.
- To move the Upper Column downward, tilt the Elevation Control Rocker to the left.
- The raising/lowering speed of the Upper Column is in proportion to the tilting angle of the Elevation Control Rocker.
- The more the Elevation Control Rocker is tilted, the faster the Upper Column moves.
- The raising/lowering speed is approx.
14 sec. to 40 sec./400 mm, however, the speed will vary depending on the weight of the equipment mounted on the LX-¢Ped and operating environments.
