C530 Cordless Kettle
The disposal of used electrical and electronic equipment (applies to
European Union countries and other European countries with separate waste-
collection systems).
This symbol on the product or its packaging indicates that it should not be
classified as household waste. It should be handed over to an appropriate
company dealing with the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic
equipment. The correct disposal of the product will prevent potential negative
consequences for the environment and human health resulting from hazardous
substances present in the product. Electrical devices must be handed over to
restrict their re-use and further treatment. If the device contains batte
ries, remove them, and hand them over to a storage point separately. DO NOT
THROW EQUIPMENT INTO THE MUNICIPAL WASTE BIN. Material recycling helps to
preserve natural resources. For detailed information on how to recycle this
product, please contact your local authority, the recycling company, or the
shop where you bought it.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before first use, please thoroughly read the entire manual.
It is recommended to keep this instructions manual for future reference.
- The connection cable of the power supply cradle must be connected to a socket equipped with a protective pin as specified in the instructions.
- The appliance must always be disconnected from the mains by pulling the plug and not the power cord.
- Care should be taken not to include too many appliances in one current circuit.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not place the appliance near heat sources.
- Place the unit on a stable and dry surface.
- Make sure there is water in the kettle before switching it on. Do not start the kettle without water.
- Do not pour above the maximum level on the kettle indicator. If the kettle is overfilled, there is a risk of uncontrolled outflow of hot water to the outside (risk of flooding the electrical connections and shortcircuiting).
- Switch off the appliance from the mains when it is no longer in use and before cleaning.
- Do not move or shift during use.
- Do not fill the jug placed on the base.
- This equipment may be used by children of at least 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical and mental capabilities and persons with inexperience and lack of knowledge of the equipment, if supervision or instruction is provided on how to use the equipment in a safe manner so that the associated risks are understood. Children should not play with the equipment. Unsupervised children should not carry out cleaning or maintenance of the equipment.
- Do not leave the equipment unattended.
- A kettle plugged in or containing hot water left unattended can be dangerous to children.
- Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
- Do not immerse the kettle in water when washing.
- The kettle may only be used with the original base attached.
- Beware of hot steam coming out of the jug during cooking.
- Equipment for domestic use only, in the event of industrial operation, not in accordance with the intended use or contrary to these instructions, the seller will not accept any responsibility and warranty rights will lapse.
- If the power cord becomes damaged, it must be replaced at the Manufacturer’s Service Centre to prevent danger. List of services in the appendix and at www.eldom.eu.
- Repairs to the equipment may only be carried out by an authorised service centre. Any modernisation or use of other than original spare parts or components of the appliance is forbidden and endangers the safety of use.

INTENDED USE
The C530 wireless kettle is intended for boiling water. It is fitted with the
function of temperature control and hold. The capacity of the kettle allows to
boil 0.5–1.7 l of water. The maximum water level is indicated on the indicator
(12) and the minimum inside the container (5).
USE
NOTES. Before using the jug for the first time, boil the water 2-3 times and pour out.
- All setting changes are confirmed by a beep.
- Place the base of the appliance (6) on a flat, stable and dry surface. There is space in the base for the excess cable. It is important that the cable is routed out of the base (6) through the special groove so that the unit stands firmly.
- Before inserting the plug into the socket, make sure that the data on the unit’s rating plate corresponds to the mains parameters.
- The appliance should be filled when the lid (2) is opened. The lid is opened using the button (3). Close the lid by pressing lightly until it audibly snaps shut.
- Do not fill the kettle when standing on the base.
- When the kettle is placed on the base connected to the power supply, the indicators (7-11) will be illuminated. If no operation is performed within 1 minute, the kettle will automatically enter standby mode – only the button (7) will be illuminated.
- If the kettle is in standby mode, press button (7) to start operation.
- Once the water has been heated to the set temperature, the illuminated indicators turn off after approximately 30 seconds.
Temperature control
- The kettle allows the water to be heated to the set temperature.
- There are 4 permanently stored programmes (temperatures): 70°C (White), 80°C (Green), 90°C (Oolong) and 100°C (Boil).
- Manually, the temperature can be selected from 40°C – 95°C (step in 5°C increments).
- The unit allows you to maintain the temperature for any selected value.
Note: Removing the kettle from the base erases the settings.
OPERATION
- The kettle starts working when one of the stored programmes (10) is selected or the temperature is set.
- The operation of the appliance can be stopped at any time by switching it off with the by pressing the button (7).
Preset programmes
- Temperatures: 70°C (White), 80°C (Green), 90°C (Oolong) and 100°C (Boil) are immediately available by selecting the corresponding button (10).
- The operation of the appliance is indicated by the illumination of the indicator light of the selected programme.
- The jug switches off automatically when the water boils.
- Operation of the appliance can be interrupted at any time by switching it off using the button (7).
Manual temperature selection
- To select the desired water temperature from 40°C – 95°C (in 5°C steps), press the buttons (9) until the desired value appears on the display (11).
- After a while, the display (11) will show the current water temperature in the kettle and heating will start.
- The operation of the appliance is indicated by the illumination of the controls (7, 8, 9). The display (11) will show the current temperature.
- When the set temperature is reached, the kettle will switch off.
- The operation of the appliance can be stopped at any time by switching it off
- by pressing the button (7).
Temperature support
- Temperature maintenance is possible for any selected temperature.
- To activate the temperature maintenance function, select a temperature and then press button (8).
- Activation of the function will be indicated by the blinking indicator (8).
- After heating the water to the set temperature, the kettle will monitor the temperature for 2 hours – when the water temperature drops below the set value by about 5°C, heating will resume.
- Pressing the button (8) without first selecting the temperature will only result in the indicator light (8) flickering for about 3 seconds.
Note: Removing the kettle from the base erases the settings.
FILTER
The filter does not remove the scale, but it prevents any deposits from
getting inside the kettle while the water is being poured in. The filter
should be cleaned regularly. Hard water may block the filter after boiling
water a couple of times.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Allow the unit to cool down completely before cleaning.
- Do not immerse the kettle in water while washing up.
- The outside of the kettle may be wiped over with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid.
- Water stains inside the kettle can be removed by rubbing with a cloth moisten with white vinegar; rinse the inside with water afterwards.
• Limescale should be removed in the following way:
• Fill the kettle with 0.75 litre of water and bring it to boil.
• Switch the kettle off and disconnect the kettle from the power supply.
• Pour 0.1l of vinegar into a jug and leave the solution for a few hours.
• Discard the solution and rinse the inside with water.
• Fill the kettle with 1 litre of water and bring to boil.
• Discard the water and rinse the inside with water.
