SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
DANGER
- Indicates an imminently hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
- Do not deform nor solder.
- Do not short-circuit.
- Do not heat nor put in fire.
- Do not dip into water nor wet the battery terminals.
- Do not use nor keep near fire or in locations where the temperature rises above 60 °C (140 °F) such as in a sun-heated car.
- Use the IR-200BC or IR-310BC Battery Charger when recharging.
- Use only with the specified equipment.
- Do not drop nor give a shock.
- If battery leakage gets in one’s eyes, wash it away with clean water and consult a doctor immediately. Doing otherwise may cause one’s eyesight loss.
- Do not use this battery together with rechargeable or dry batteries of other product numbers. Also, even if the product numbers of the batteries to be used are the same, avoid mixing new and old batteries, or using together those of different charging conditions. Failure to follow these instructions may result in battery leakage or excessive heat generation.
WARNING
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation that, if mishandled, could result
in death or serious personal injury.
- Stop charging if the battery is not fully charged within 3 hours.
- The temperature of the battery sometimes rises high just after use. When removing from the unit, switch off the unit’s power and let the battery cool down to an ambient temperature.
HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
- Charge when using first after purchase or when using after being left unused for a long period of time.
- Battery operating duration may be short due to its self-discharge when left unused for a long period of time even after fully charged.
- Using at room temperature (20±5 °C or 68±9 °F) is recommended. Using at 10 °C (50 °F) or below will extremely reduce the battery operating duration.
- Once over-discharged, its usable capacity could not restore even after charge. So, charging once every 6 months is advisable when leaving it unused for a long period of time.
- Do not recharge the fully-charged battery. Doing so deteriorates its performance.
- When not in use, take it out of the unit, and store it in locations free from moisture and between –20 °C and 30 °C (–4 °F and 86 °F).
