The EZ-Adapter is a series of USB adapters designed to connect various types of storage drives to your computer. It includes the following models:

• MB931U-1VB R1: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type-C) to U.2 NVMe SSD Adapter
• MB031U-1SMB: USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Type-C) to 2.5 SATA SSD/HDD & M.2 SATA SSD Adapter
• MB104U-1SMB: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type-C) to 2.5 SATA SSD/HDD & M.2 NVMe/SATA SSD Adapter

Product Usage Instructions

MB931U-1VB R1

1. Connect the USB cable and power adapter to the device.
2. Connect the U.2 NVMe SSD to the MB931U-1VB R1.
3. Switch the power button to the right to turn on the device.

Note:

1. Make sure to turn off the device’s power before installing or removing the drives.
2. Due to compatibility reasons, the transfer speed may drop to 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) when using certain U.2 SSDs or operating systems. If you are experiencing any performance issues, please get in touch with our customer support team.
3. Please check the drive compatibility list on the ICY DOCK website before purchasing a U.2 SSD.

MB031U-1SMB

1. Connect the USB cable to the device.
2. Connect either a 2.5 SATA drive or M.2 SATA SSD to the device. Do not connect both simultaneously.
3. Switch the power button to the right to turn on the device.

Note:

1. Make sure to turn off the device’s power before installing or removing the drives.
2. When installing 2.5″ SATA and M.2 drives simultaneously, the system will only detect M.2 SSD.
3. This device does not support drives that use 12V power.
4. The drive’s connector might get oxidized over time and causes poor drive detection. It is recommended to use a rubber eraser or alcohol to clean the connector when it happens.

MB104U-1SMB

1. Connect either a 2.5 SATA drive or M.2 SATA/NVMe SSD to the device. Do not connect both simultaneously.
2. Connect the USB cable to the device.

Note:

• Make sure to turn off the device’s power before installing or removing drives.
• Due to compatibility reasons, the transfer speed may drop to USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) when using certain U.2 SSDs or operating systems. If you experience performance issues, contact our customer support team.
• Check the drive compatibility list on the ICY DOCK website before purchasing a U.2 SSD.
• When installing both 2.5 SATA and M.2 drives simultaneously with MB031U-1SMB or MB104U-1SMB, the system will only detect the M.2 drive or the 2.5 drive, respectively.
• The devices do not support drives that use 12V power.
• If the drive’s connector gets oxidized over time and causes poor drive detection, it is recommended to clean the connector using a rubber eraser or alcohol.
